Thanks guys! And Reason got my name spelled right! haha
Yeah, this is the shop at home, but it also doubles as my business also. Looks much bigger then it is, but I'm grateful to have it.
I love it. That is all.

This is great! My dad used to have 122s. I remember the last one from my early childhood. It was a red 1967 four door. Always loved these things.

Havent done an update for a while...
I got the right side doors painted... PPG 9700 Black, just like the front end. This was in... July? Maybe Aug... Cant remember...
All cut in...
Outsides of them...
Just did this this last week... Pulled the left rear door and gave it hopefully it's last coat of primer.
Good to see progress.
Well, I got some more work done! Finished the welding/body work aspect of my tail light conversion.
I like the older pre-1963 tail lights a bit better, more of a hot rod look and also they are much more rare. The older ones dont have a reverse light, but thats fine because I'm relocated it anyway. I like the '50's look of the pre '63 lights...
Left: pre-'63
Right: '64-'68
The older lights use different mounting points so I had to build and weld new tabs to the QT panels.
Any reason you went w/KA24DE instead of the 234T?
I like these kinds of builds because I've a bit of a Volvo guy myself, having owned 3 850s & 3 960s.
I'm going to keep an eye on this thread!
I know Volvo motors up to 1975... LOL... I know the body's well, but thats about it...
The original plan was a motor from a V70/S70 R, but the RWD trans is a one year from Sweden. About $3000 for a 5 speed. Cant justify that.
Plan 2 was a highly built Volvo B-20 Turbo. After figuring pricing, it would have cost me $8000-10,000 to get the power I wanted (300whp) and that was still with a 4 speed.
The KA I pulled from my 1991 S13 when I swapped in a SR20DET, so the motor was free. I can get it to 300whp for much less and if it brake, I can go to a wrecker down the road. Ultimately an SR20 will make it's way in, but this motor also has a small bit of sentimental value to it since it was the motor I learned to drift with. I'm sure I'll kill it someday, but when I do, I'll just go get another one and call it a day. Volvo parts are not as easy and not as cheap.
I still dream of a turbo 5 cylinder, but I will only do it when a trans is not $3K...
Those 5-bangers sound sooo amazing.
There's guys out there hooking the WC T5 up to the whiteblocks like they do with the redblocks, not sure about the details tho, are you on turbobricks?
93 Legacy Turbo Wagon winestone, 5mt swap, rear lsd, v1 wrx seats- Winter

89 Volvo 244 LSX swap full build.
Honestly, I have never been able to find a good Volvo forum that had RWD cars. Just FWD. I would love to talk to some vintage Volvo guys though!
Turbobricks is biased towards RWD & Swedespeed is biased towards FWD but TB is the site w/all of the crazy whiteblock swap info. Like Carl Buchka's T5 Whiteblock swapped 242 or Chris Wiita's turbo 6304 turbo 965. Those are some AMAZING build threads.Originally Posted by Dead91silvia

LOL... Me too!
Sooo... I did pick these up a while back. A set of (2002?) Acura RSX Limited seats. Actually really nice and comfy! One has a blow airbag (like I care... haha) and a small rip, but it can be repaired. I got them for a whopping $60 bucks for the pair! Will be super easy to mount in the Volvo with the flat floor pans.
Sorry, no more update on this ride... I have started to clean it out, but time is a killer these days.
And this is how I'm actually using them at the moment... haha...
keeep on truckin!
