Can't find an actual example of it having been done but have heard that it'll work. I've heard everything from bolt on to needing adapters. Yes i realize it would me make rwd.

that would be hot, anybody know about this one?
An ugly rusty Subaru is better then a shiny new Honda :smt002
dont know about rx7 trannys, but this guy... http://www.billsautofab.com/ is in the process finishing the R&D (about a year worth, unfortunately) to bolt a Subaru EJ-series engine to a Toyota W- or some R- series transmission.
but realistically, unless your making gobs of power idk why you wouldn't just use a modified suby 5spd.
any particular reason why you were thinking rx7?

Sounds like BS to me, I don't see it working without a custom bell housing, then you have to figure what flywheel/pressure plate combo will work, then you need the drive shaft, then you probably need a new tranny mount because the mounting locations are different. for $350 i would think you could get somebody to crack open your case and convert it to RWD...
