Is it possible for me to do a direct bypass of it and eliminate it and one clutch hose or do I have to replace the master and slave?

I'm not sure if its the same as a hill holder but its the cause of the sticky clutch pedal according to Subaru. Would it be bad to eliminate the operating cylinder? Eliminated mine, no problems.
A station wagon with a clutch pedal?
I took mine off when I was in class last week and then took it apart. Don't really see the purpose of it and neither did my instructor. I'll be getting my hose by tomorrow or Monday. Gonna do it in class on Wednesday for one of the projects.
