    I decided to make another thread for my car for a few reasons. Clutter, dead pic links, information all over the place.

    Yea its not stock, when I first made this list I was getting a GT-B bumper then got that one instead. It has the name on the inside, I forgot what it was.

    As for the paint it bothered me at first, but its pointless to have a car that looks good and ride like shit. I rather it be reliable and fun than look cool. But I do have a bodyshop lined up and talked to the guy a few times. Ill most likely will have it don't next year though, I rather go on vacation lol.

    Man, it's too bad your not over here. I could get that painted for you in less then a week, maybe even loan you mine for the time being.. Red85celica is coming over to prep out his GT-B L bumper, Zero Sports grill, and his T/C wing so I can paint them tomorrow.

    I like the way your car is coming together though! I also know about some of the goodies that Yamazaki has for you and I'm jealous!

    I already cleaned it, and I would seafoam it when its back together. But I'm more concern what caused it.

    As for progress I should get another shipment of parts this week or next. And I decided I will start this earlier. So about 3 weeks I will pull the motor and do work...

    looks like normal ware and tear on the pistons to me (cant expect to much out of a stock NA tune) really I would have been more worried if the pistons we absolutely clean, cant really tell how bad the carbon lip is on the top of the cylinder wall or the cross hatchets very well, the flash was a little intense.

    Thats what the cylinders/pistons looked like in my BD. I cleaned them up and it's been running really good since I did HG's. Not near as much smoke on start up and still no CEL for EGR. I cleaned all the pistons with a brass wire brush to knock all the carbon and other crap off...

    Yea the original owner had the cloth replaced with Katzskin leather.

    The cross hatch is all fine, I don't see any imperfections on the cylinder walls or the top of the pistons. Everything looks good to me, I degreased the block last summer, so it's ready to take the parts I have for it.

    APRIL FOOLS! It's not sold, in fact I will be starting to pull the motor out in 2 weeks since we finished up EvoLegacys car (turns out to be a faulty throw out bearing, if you were following his thread)

    The rest of the parts to have 80% of this build will be ordered sometime this week.

    I'll have that fucker out in a hour. The problem is my week days are shot. Work, kids, kids swim lessons, house hunting, Wifey, SLi, 4Zeroand whatever else the misses throws my way. And weekends I work on her parents house and my parents house I figured I have 10 Sundays and about 3-4 Saturdays to get this done. I'm ordering the last of the parts next week I guess. I have a lot of little things coming. I'm pretty much replacing everything I come across that is broken or worn, on top of the swap and a few other planned mods.

    The car should be a joy to drive when I'm done. The only thing im unsure of is if I want to run this stage 1 clutch or go oem. I'm not looking to race it. Its a DD. So as I get closer I will have to make a choice. I'll most likely run it for a few weeks to see.

    For the hell of it I will list what I plan on doing, or a majority of it.

    EJ22E heads w/delta cams (cleaned and possibly debur the runners)
    Adjust lifters
    new gaskets all around (heads and block)
    crank seal and rear main seal
    Gates timing belt tensioner
    Gates water pump (flows better than OEM)
    oil pan, dipstick guide
    oil separator plate
    K&N oil filter
    Redline 10w-40 oil
    Cometic hybrid EJ22/25 gaskets
    Yellowtop injectors (sent for cleaning/flow rates)
    Subaru oil pump
    Used PS pump w/rebuilt kit
    parallel fuel set up
    Light weight Alt pulley
    GrimmSpeed t stat
    Mishimoto rad cap w/gauge
    Competition clutch stage 1 clutch kit
    OEM resurfaced flywheel
    Perrin short throw shifter
    Insulated CAI
    AEM brute force 9" air filter w/hydro shield
    Header re-wrapped and coated
    cat j pipe wrapped
    New iridium spark plugs
    2 NGK o2 sensors w/spacer if needed
    tons of little things to be replaced (all on order)
    Hella supertones for good measure

    This is what I can think of off the top of my head. There's a few more things I'm doing but is a little later, like tires for my rims I have, STi ebrake handle and a little sound blocking for the interior!

    Also have plans for the exhaust and tuning.
