    ScangaugeE

    As seen here (Amazon)

We've already discussed the ScangaugeII at length, but I was wondering about the tiny version of it. Any owners of the II that think I'll be missing anything major? It's a lot less expensive, and I thought it might be a good solution for my throttle position issue that would not cost much more than a dealership visit (this is if I can't get the voltage meter I have to read properly).

Aside from that, I like some of the features it has, especially the coolant temp reader (on Subarus the temp sender & temp sensor are 2 different units and I can't get my gauge to stop being dumb). The MPG is also cool, and I like that could take it to any newer car I'd end up with in the near future.

Any reasons I shouldn't seriously look at buying this?

    Re: ScangaugeE

I had issues with mine. it would stop updating 15 min into a trip. Called scangage and, after some troubleshooting, they said it's your cars fault not ours. Sold it for half price to get rid of it.

What worked best for me was this:

    http://www.amazon.com/Soliport-Bluetoot ... y_e_text_c

and the Torque app if you have a droid. if you have an iPhone like me you have to jail break the phone and then pay $60 for the app and Bluetooth work around.

Still cheaper either way and can be connected to a tablet. Gives full specs and readouts as well as data logging.
