So the low beam stays on when you go to high beams? Is there anything else that has to be changed to make that work, like a change to the high beam switch or something?

Yes, the low beam stays on when you go to high beams if you connect the included additional ground leads; no other modifications necessary for great simultaneous Low + High Beam headlight output when the High Beam switch is activated. Easy peasy! If you disconnect the ground wire connections, then the low-beams will turn off as the high beam switch is activated, if anyone prefers this arrangement (note that left and right side additional ground wires BOTH must be disconnected for this behavior).

I don't know of anyone that has commercialized a set of 00-04 jdm headlight conversion harnesses. We realize there is a demand, but I don't have access to any 00-04 Legacies, nor the JDM lights and connectors for which to develop harnesses at this time.

Re: 2nd Gen JDM to USDM headlight harness

Excuse my ignorance, but this crap confuses me. I recently bought some JDM BD projector headlights for my 99 LGT. I would like to eventually convert them to HID as well. Would I need the H4 or 9007??

Re: 2nd Gen JDM to USDM headlight harness

'99 is 9007. The harness set with the blue connectors is the one you want for JDM *halogen* projectors for your '99 BD. However, I have no experience with HIDs so you may have to dig into that one. Complete installation instructions for these harnesses and JDM halogen projectors can be found here:
    https://sl-i.net/FORUM/showthread.php?15992

Thank you for your question... please let us know if you have any others. The goal of these conversion harnesses is to make installation of JDM projectors as simple as possible

If you are doing a retrofit, you need an adapter harness for HID. Look for the adapter for your current headlight bulb type.

I bought mine from the retrofitsource.

Finally, I have a functioning hoodscoop

Thanks for the interest, unfortunately we still have a substantial inventory of 9007-style harnesses that we need to get sold before we can get more supplies for the H4 style. I am all out of H4 and JDM connectors, and there are usually minimum orders I need to meet when ordering components. The more 9007-style harnesses that we can get sold, the sooner we can build more of the H4's.

If we had a solid count of hands of those that were certain to buy H4 harnesses, we might be swayed to make another production run a bit sooner.

Awesome work on the 9007 harness. Dropped right in and worked like a charm - only problem was finding where to ground the JDM HID ballasts (these are the fancy JDM HID Projectors - man are they bright). Now if I could only get the engine to stop breaking...

Thanks for the update! I didn't think that the connections were right for a HID setup, but I've never had experience with HIDs. Would you mind posting a couple photo of your setup?
