What can your Subie hold!? What have you put in it!?

10 bags of landscape wood chips. **Had room for about 10 more I think too with some creative stacking! :P

New Front door for my house!

8 sheets of tile backerboard and a shower pan. Too much weight!!! Drove home about 15 MPH. :/

I also have a photo somewhere of the Legacy with Elisliders Bilstein BG suspension, Aluminum LCA's, my JDM front bumper with bumper beam, two JDM grills and Elisliders RFRB BG spoiler... I just need to find it.

800ish lbs of 40lb wood pellet (heating) bags.

With the Forester, I managed to cram a dresser, 2 drawers for a different dresser, a box with a swaybar in it, and a 185-65-15 tire (forgot it was in there when we went to pick up the dresser) and I could still see out the back! Too dark, so I didn't take pics.

For reference, 1000 pounds of iron will almost take an outback to the bump stops.

A 13B with all the 5spd bits doesn't even make it break a sweat.

I've also hauled seven 100+ year old solid doors on my roof... **** the 100lb limit.
Loads of copper, big TVs, display cases, cabinets, a wagonload of subaru parts, engines, couches, chairs...

I've carted around loads of fire wood a couple times when I had my Outback for my dad. Filled up the whole trunk lol.

But the most memorable thing that that baby did was pull a whole tree out of my back yard when we had a major storm one year.

    God, I miss that car...

I haven't done anything major in my Sedan, but I have moved two different 80g water heaters still in their boxes.. One was in my 98 Forester, and the other in my 96 Legacy Outback.

the most tires and wheels I've been able to haul in my sedan was 8 tires and 4 bare wheels. Also, I've strapped 3 doors on the roof and a queen sized mattress on two different occations...

I fit my 95 Honda CR125 in the back of mine. No pics for proof but next time I move it I will snap a pic. If any of you know dirt bikes then you know the CR125 is a decent sized bike.

I'm constantly amazed by how much I can hold in my Forester.

There's a full set of wheels, struts, springs, tophats, etc for my new suspension mixed in there along with many other garage things.

And when it won't all fit in, put some bikes on the back and anything super long on the roof rack:

I know its not much but it was a 2 hr trip to pick up a 2.5rs partout for my bro and mind you its pretty low. Its only meant to have kids on the back seats lol. Basically all interior pieces for the rs minus seats/door cards plus engine parts, steering rack, rear diff etc etc....

This is how low it was with all the stuff on there

It would of been a breeze if its a wagon but I was actually surprised I was able to fit all those items in the car with a passenger. Took half an hr to load it up though. It was like playing tetris lol

Re: What can your Subie hold!? What have you put in it!?

Right now, my BG has the following parts from my BE in the backseat and/or trunk:

All 4 stock wheels and tires.
    BE Hood
    Both sides Rear door glass
    US Tail lights
    Both new whiteline way bars
    Stock 6 disc changer radio
6-CD and MD radio from a JDM Forester
    Some random tools

Needless to say, it is a little cramped in there...

Re: What can your Subie hold!? What have you put in it!?

Beyond the typical homeowner landscaping stuff I've had:

60 12"x12" pavers (the tag said they weighed 36# each..)
80 bricks with 5 bags of leveling sand, 5 bags of river rocks, and 4 80# bags of quickrete. <- sketchy drive home
And a 7x7 shed on the roof. There is a picture of that in my member introduction thread. It is a plastic shed in a box. Bout 400 lbs. took it like a champ.

Also there was a bunch of stuff from a 98 gt part out I bought some of, including a complete engine and the front bumper now on my car.

I've done the 8ft ladder inside (dash to rear door).
I also once took a 7 foot tall tree home with most of it sticking out the passenger rear window lol. That was funny

Needless to say I get my use out of the cargo hauling capabilities of my car. Thinking about a tow hitch for some more flexibility too.
