Since the wagon came with the headliner with sunglass console, I decided to transfer it to the outback. Whats weird is that I've seen them on outbacks but mine didn't come with it.
This is what i'm talking bout

Top is the headliner for the sunglass console. It has a bigger opening and it also comes with a different mounting bracket

Stock bracket to hold the courtesy lights (i think thats what they're called)

Had to remove the spot welds (5 total)

Here is the bracket for the lights/sungalss console

Installed in my outback (sry for the crappy pic)

Yes I was amaze on how they look good on the color.

    Cleaned the carpet/mats

    Installed the wrx wagon seats

The upper rear seats still needs some work because they're not bolt on.
It won't latch. The outback latch is about 2 inches higher than the seats.

Only one bolt can be bolted on where the seats splits.

And the brackets by door also have to modify. I'll get more in depth with it once I tackle it to be mounted/functioning correctly (fold down)

The seats really compliments the exterior color now. In a dilemma cause I like the color green and been painting my cars different shade of green.

Installed the GT wagon rear bumper on the outback but since it was white, I decided to try to somewhat match the lower paint with it. Just went to walmart and grab some spray can and shot it without double checking. Sprayed it off the car before I swapped it. As you can see, it's a big FAIL lol.

I ended up matching the emblem instead of the lower part of the 2 tone . Oh well, the whole car will be repainted anyways.

I've used paint from here before: http://www.automotivetouchup.com/

It matches well and they should have the gold to match the rest of the two tone if you care enough to redo it.

^^Thanks for the link. I'll just wait until I get an engine swap and repaint the whole car. I'll be shooting it green but unsure what shade . Here's a side shot to show on how off it is hahahaha

Thanks fellas! Mixed lips, front is the pignose lip/sides are jdm 180sx skirts/rear is a pretty rare xenon valance.

The 240 is the main reason I started to document my builds. I sold it to some guy in sacramento area. A year later he posted it for sale on craigslist claiming he build it from the ground up. His post was word per word how i had it listed a year ago when i sold it to him except on the addition of him claiming he did all the work. . Same exact everything! except the quarter panel painted black (fucked it up). I doubt he even knew how to work on it Everyone knew in town who built it though

Sadly it was already a year later when I started to build my BD and didn't document it per mod. Joined SLi since sept of 09 and never really made a members ride thread after I saw the for sale post of my old 240.

Lucky for this outback, you guys will see the slow progress compare to the BD to where its more like a before and after pics lol

Forgot to mentioned that I sold the tow hitch, hood bug deflector and tweeters (have an extra set) for $125. So technically I got it for $375 . He almost bought the spoiler but it wasn't the same color as his car.

Also be heading to pick n pull today since they have 50% everything!!!! :smt026

Re: r3v_v3ng3's 97 outback (GT rear bumper)

Was at stockton pick n pull on sunday and there was a 99 outback there. Was there 2 hrs and was ready to pull out the motor until I wanted to take out the crank pulley for more clearance. Only to find out that the motor makes a funny sound as I spin it. BIG FAIL lol

On monday went to merced pick n pull and we also found another 99 outback. This time the motor didn't make funny noises and by the looks of it, its a jdm ej25d from attarco. Someone already removed the transmission so I figured what the heck. Pulled it out and bought it (it was dirty and pan was dented)

We then headed to fresno to check out the mall but decided why not stop by fresno picknpull. We'll found a gem. Its a 98 LGT and the motor is clean and more complete than the one from merced. We had to bust ass since we only had 2 hrs before they closed. I ended up exchanging the motor from merced. Paid $220 with a year warranty. It'll be $150 once I return the core. Wished I had more time to pull out the rear lip and the skirts

    Less than 130xxx miles :smt026

When we got home, the forester's (used to haul the engine) rear wheel bearing started to make funny noise. Guess it couldn't handle hauling the longblock for over 100 miles

Not a bad find with the motor! Pick and Pulls are so hit and miss if they have good parts or not. Red85celica and I hit them up about once every other month. Sometimes we score, sometimes not so much.

good finds! and will be awesome with the coilovers on it. I need some sooo bad, at this point I would be happy with stock LGT springs and struts

They are. You never know what the cars have until you get there. Actually the BK GT never showed up on their online inventory and was at fresno picknpull for a forester until I came across that one. I check their inventory like craigslist lol
Some of their parts are overpriced though so its best to cross reference what you want to buy and check ebay for aftermarket parts to see if its same price or cheaper. Its not worth the trip for me.

Thanks! Never really thought about the LGT struts/springs. Wanted to get some more parts but was rushed (closing).

Anyways here's pics of the coilover installed. I didn't mess with the setting. Left it as is on what it was set on my bro's GC

Ended up swapping the outback wheels to the forester and vice versa. The outback had better tires (forester's balding). The tires are too tall when dropped lol

Yes! I also love how they have a little concave look even though the offset is like +55 (or +48 )

Not with those tall ass tires . It will be lowered though.

So I started breaking down the engine from picknpull. By the looks of it, it had a headgasket failure and the whoever worked on it couldn't stop the cam seals from leaking. Its down to the block now, I'm just hoping that the crank and block is good. Also crossing my fingers hoping it's a phase 2 block. Will post pics later
