Build a model car, Interactive style! Poll#4 Interior color!

Hey guys! I decided to build another car, but with your guys help.

    New POLL! Interior color!

With this build I'm going to be asking you for you input and voting on how you want me to build it! This is how it will work... Each time there is something having to do with style or something that can vary, I'll post up a poll. I'll be posting progess pics as we go along as well. This will not be as extensive as the last build since the kit is so simple, but I will put all my effort into making this car look just as good as the rest! This build is ment to be fun!

Polls will be up for one week. the most votes at the end of the week will win and then, time permitting, I'll post up another poll.

The car! I got the car from another forum member, he can name himself if he would like but I didnt want to put him on the spot.
This is a Fujimi Toyota AE86 Trueno/Corolla. I have done one of these before painted Gunmetal. the detail is low, but the build should be fun and fast!

    Poll #1 Color!
I have a number of colors I have accumulated over the years or just pick up if I think I might use them. If it's not on the list, it's not an option.
    1. "Lime Ice" Light/candy green
    2. "Mystic Emerald" Medium Candy green
    3. "Metallic Blue" (Almost R-32 Skyline blue)
    4. "De Ja Blue" Deep Candy blue
    5. "Purple Licious" Deep Candy purple
    6. "Flaming Orange" Candy orange
I was thinking bright red, but I dont have any right now and I have a 911 I'm about to start that will be that color anyway...

    Poll#2 Interior!
    1. Full interior. This would mean all seats front and rear. I might have a set of Skyline buckets that will be interior color or even just the stockers
    2. Caged. This would be 2 front seats only. Something like Bride, Recaro, or Sparco seats painted red or something like the sort. The kit has a cage that comes with it.
    3. This would be full race/drift as is one seat for the driver with a more expanded custom cage I would add to.

    Poll#3 Wheels
#1 BBS 18" No lip, and will be a little harder to make fit
#2 Stock JDM RSX/Integra wheels (will be painted, if they are picked, that will be another poll)
    #3 JDM FD RX-7 wheels
#4 Silver 5 spoke (cant remember where I got these, but I really like these on this car! Deep lip also!)
#5 Wantanabe staggered wheel (came with the kit, also would look good!)

I'll leave this poll up for 5 days and we will see what we get. The next pool might be interior color or style, or maybe what wheels to be used.

    What color!

Re: Build a model car, Interactive style! Poll#2 Interior!

Sorry, been kinda busy the last few weeks... Next POLL!

    Ok.. She will be...

Caged with 2 Sparco style seats!

    POLL #3!
    What wheels to use?

I have a number of them, but I'm limiting what ones since this is to be a fun/easy build. No massive wheels and also some are out due to the fact they have the wrong hub setup and it takes time to make them work. So here are your wheels to chose from!

    From top, left to right...

Told you guys I was hard core back in the day (all wheels and tires)...

I also decided when I start building, I will build this with it. It's a old vintage 200SX Fujimi kit I got at a swap meet about a year ago for $5.

I was just about to ask you if you had any spare wheels that I could use for my build, and then I saw the 3rd picture. Would you consider selling a set of your rims?

    Also, #4.

    Also, #4.
HAHA... I knew someone was gonna ask... I'm not much for selling them since a lot are not available anymore, but there are a ton on Ebay.

What kinda are you looking for? I have a few I would let go of...

If you look on ebay or anywhere else online, Aoshima and Fujimi are the most common and best quality wheels. Some Fujimi wheels sets come with massive Brembo brake kits. Hub are also a big thing most people dont think about. Some are pin, some are axle wheels. Then you have hub/drum style, but mostly thats on USA brands like Revell, AMT, or Linberg.

You want wheels for the Fujimi B4 kit you got right? That kit has an axle/poly hub setup and thats means your in luck! 90-80% of all Aoshima and Fujimi wheels that are aftermarket boxed are like that.

HAHA! Yeah, that and a girlfriend... I'll get to doing some work on it soon.

Looks like the votes went for wheels #4...

    Poll #4! Interior color!
    -Black with Red Seats?
    -Gray/Black 2 tone including seats?
    -Gray/Black with red Seats?

Remember, it will have 2 racing seats with a cage. These colors are for the door panels, dash and what not.

I wanted to vote for option #2, but what racing seats are gray/black? So I went with red seats for realism.

I don't know, I just can't see red seats looking good in an orange car.

Re: Build a model car, Interactive style! Poll#4 Interior co

Well, the way I build model cars are how I would like my real one to be. That being said, any racing seat can be re-upholstered.

As for the paint, any local hobby shop should have it. Hobbytown USA, Hobby Lobby, or anything like them should have it.

I use abut 4-5 different types for different parts... I'll try and get some pics when I get time.
