GTDrifter is back in a Legacy - New Wheels/tires

Today, the fiance and myself bought a 1991 Subaru Legacy wagon. We purchased the car from her co-worker who owned it and loved the car but couldn't afford to fix her up. Instead of junking the car she offered it to us for an awesome price and we had to take it. The previous owner's grandchildren named the car Christine after the movie. (if you haven't seen the movie go and watch it).

1991 Legacy L wagon. Ej22 runs and drives. Needs brakes, tires, and a brake line replaced. Timing belt and belt tensioner pulley replaced one month and 5 miles ago by me. Has some dents and some rust, a cracked windshield, and other minor issues that we will fix when the weather warms up.

I'm gonna put my turbo build on it instead of my rs since we're not gonna drive it til we move. There's a rhd first gen in the junkyard that I plan to get. Also might see if an rs hood and bumper will work on it. We have a rear strut bar laying around for it and it'll get a 5mt swap probably when the rhd goes in.

I know there's one in a local yard but my fiance insists there's another one in a different yard. if yard b has one then I'm gonna try to get the whole car but if they don't then we'll have to get all the parts from yard a because they won't sell the car

A Subaru for a sweet price can never be passed up. Kinda a bummer its fwd, but maybe it will get better fuel economy. Does it have the "select-a-height" feature?

Other then a trans, diff and drive line... I wonder how much work it would be to make it AWD....?

Got some new wheels. Also found out that it has disc brakes all around

RWD drive it. Cut the rusty fenders and apply some flares. Dump the thing and drift it!

the brakes ended up to be fine and just needs a brake line which will be replaced this weekend hopefully. I am also getting my original RS bumper back so Christine will be getting an RS bumper modified to fit complete with turn signals and foglights. This probably won't happen until the weather gets warmer but it'll happen. Also got sideskirts and lowering springs as soon as taxes come in.

Huffer, we are planning a drift car and definitely dumped. flares seem like a sweet idea so I'll bring it across the fiance and see what she thinks. maybe wheel spacers as well?

You might need spacers but really if you're going to drift it then 17x8 should fill that rear fender nicely.

Update: Got a new grill from a local junkyard and will be getting the next items once taxes are in and will need to modify to fit:
RS front bumper with foglights and turn signals
RS side skirts
Eibach sport line lowering springs (until we get coilovers ordered)
RS front lip
RS hood scoop

HA! Thats not even close to the same! I can get a trans for ya for about 100 bucks, dont think a 2.0 TT is that cheap.

started replacing the blown brake line. thanks God it was the one that snakes through the interrior so seats, carpet, and probably dash need to be ripped out and not one of the easy ones that you don't have to do too much work to replace.

It will also be outfitted with an rs steering wheel
