'07 Outback XT upgrades for a '03 BH?

I just went to a local small junk yard and they have a rolled/wrecked '07 Outback XT (Turbo/4eat sport shift) they are parting out. Beside the engine and trans swap are there any other parts that are bolt on upgrades for my '03 Legacy L?

Here is a quick list of what I could think of off the top of my head....

    - Brakes front and rear (will require big wheels I assume)
    - Rear sway bar, front is turbo so at least on my old suby's that makes it a no go)
    - Leather shift knob and steering wheel (blown bag on the wheel)
    - Seats (fronts are gone unfortunately)

    Unknown possible swap ideas?

    - Center Console & 6 disc player?
    - Carpet?
    - Dash?
    - Door Cards?
    - wiper arms?
    - ??????

Any ideas or tips on what to snag off this beauty? She is smashed hard, front end is drove into the motor and all the glass is gone. I waiting for them to get back at me with a price for the complete car, but I want an idea of what to snag for myself before I share this with my other scooby friends and it gets raped hard.

Hard to say. The actual chassis changed quite dramatically in 05 so I'd expect a lot of the mounting points for major components are different.

If you check cars101.com they'll tell you the brake sizes - I doubt that's much of an upgrade to be honest.

The major selling point of the 05-10 cars is the refinements interior-wise plus the bigger cabin. The engines didn't get much of a workover apart from adding the turbo engine.

I can get the whole thing for $2000. I might pick it up for the swap and part out the rest that isn't compatible, although its missing the key FOB for the ecu.

you won't need the fob, just the key. That's where the immobilizer is for the ignition ring on the steering column.

I'd be worried about internal damage to the engine if the front end was smashed in. Sudden motion along the axis of travel that the H-pistons don't normally travel in, plus the possibility of a weakened block caused by the accident...

$2K sounds like a good deal if it's the whole car.

As for engine damage, you only really need to worry about it if that cam cover got damage. If it still runs and the timing belt didnt get munched and the cam gears are till good, you should be good to go. The only other thing to maybe look at is if it was ran without coolant.

The rear brakes are an upgrade because they're vented (same size, but different rotors & calipers). Fronts may be the same.

The CD player should plug in, but isn't it an integrated dash unit rather than a standard DIN size unit like the BE/BH used?
