    slavik's 2000 rs turbo!!!(frequent updates)

So i sold my legacy turbo and bought a 2000 rs to replace it. Although i did love the legacy i got a really good cash offer on it and really its just not the same as the coupes. I had many imprezas before swapped and unswapped and i think with this one i will try turboing the na motor and see what happens. It will be my first time turboing an na motor and its kinda more of an experiance thing and if i blow it ill just turbo swap it

    Re: slavik's 2000 rs

second saturday on ownership i did the timing belt, all the idler rollers and tentsioners (tensioner was knoking and af first i seriously thought it was rod knock!! all good now tho), installed a turbo waterpump so i can run sti stock exhaust manifold, stripped out the interior completly for some serious cleaning, orderd a bunch of parts to add to the list of parts needed to turbo, and got my back glass removed and reinstalled cause it was ungluing from a previous shotty job.

Plans are simple. Install my 6 speed swap, 4/2 pots, turbo this motor and push it untill the enevetable will happen. Then look for something to swap in.

Got a few hours to play around after work. Mostly more cleaning but the headliner was really dirty so I made it black. I think it looks awsome.

I used fabric/vinyal spray for the headliner and visors and black plastic trim paint for all the pieces.

so i had finally finished cleaning the interior. the interior was very very nasty/smelly and the back top part of seat was ripped out of its mounts and bent down. took me like 4 evenings and probably a total of like 6 hours. i had every interiors piece apart and i cleaned everything separately. i pressure washed the carpet and had all the seat covers off the foam and machine washed. i wish i took some before pictures but here is what i have. interior now looks amazing and smells even better.

I have been thinking about using dye on the headliner of my Legacy because it is a light gray while my interior is black leather and dark grey carpets....Maybe when it gets warmer out.

Good thing I know how to take out my headliner in the wagon because I had to do it already to replace the front sun roof a couple years ago. Ill probably do it once this semester is over and I wont have to commute everyday.

Tried to masage out my fender dent but she wasnt having it. Ended up straightening out as much as I could with hammers and bondoing it. Body guys please dont laught at my noob work ha ha. I also started tearing things apart to start the turboing process. Hopefully tomorrow ill be able to finish the fender and knock out some of the "turboing".

I wanna put dibs on your brakes when you do the swapping. 2 piston fronts and just ANY calipers for the rear of my wagon will be a win for me.

So finished the fender. Dont like the way it turned out so im just gonna look for a new fender lol

Was hoping to get a lot dont with the turbo setup today but I decided first I need to do the rear brake pads on my truck. 20 min job right? WRONG. 4 trips to o reailly's and almost 4 hours later the brakes were done. Go to auto parts and tell the bro I need REAR pads. He gives me fronts and im on my way. Come home and start taking things apart. And notice pads were way way wrong. Turns out bro gave me fronts. Oh well. Well since rotors look incredibly bad I decide to replace them too. They were frozen on and took one heak of a beating to come off. Go and get new parts at store and get back to it. Every singel fin was frozen in. Every single bolt was rusty and needed to be wrestled with. 1 caliper was completly frozen and after geting pissed I decided I would decompress it no matter what happened and gave it a beating of its life. Needless to say I broke the piston. Anyways that was by far the most frusturating brake job I ever ever did. After all this I did manage to get a little done with the turbo setup. I noched the subframe and dont like it. Evetually ill get a turbo subframe. Also didnt like the mounting position of the turbo with the stock uppipe so I will be making custom up and downpipes to mount it a bit turned and a bit to the side.

    Notching the subframe

Turbo position that I dont like
