zipties are like bolts but lighter
So after making sure split second voltage clamp was working fine I soldered the splices like so.
And all wrapped up and finished.
Yesterday she was running weird in boost so today I swapped out whatever spark plugs were in it for wrx ngk plugs. Runs even better then at first
Had tons on fun (besides clutch slippage) untill a coolant line from the heater core to the turbo started pissing coolant. So I parked it. Tomorrow ill change coolant line and hopefully finally install my gauges. Overall this car makes me smile every time and I think after I swap the tranny and wont have clutch slippage it will be even funner

All the little bugs worked out, installed wideband in a temporary location so I can monitor my afr's, let it idle for hour+ to make sure all is ok, drove it for 60+ miles issue free. Afr's are on target and all is great except for mad clutch slippage. Orderes a sti exedy clutch and its going back under the knife next week. 6 speed, r180, 4/2 pots, sti rack with subframe will all be going in. Also need a clever spot for my gauges. Any ideas anyone?

I'm glad to see u actually soldered the wires together rather than some ghetto fabbed electrical tape lol. Good job. Looks awesome altogether

Have you looked into remapping your ECM to control the timing and knock? It may be possible without a "piggyback". How many plugs on your ECM?

3 plugs. From what I understand you need a piggyback or a stand alone to really tune. Would be nice if I was wrong lolOriginally Posted by CarDoc

So I get home about at 9:40 after work today and decided ill draing the fluids in tranny, diff, and brakes so I can start pulling stuff tomorrow to begin my 6 speed and brake swap. Well an hour later I am ready to remove the complete rear lol.
Also ordered a new inner tie rod for my sti steering rack.

Do I have another load of parts to pick up? haha...
Looks good! Hurry up and get it done! I wanna go for a ride!
Im hoping to knock this out quickly. Depends how fast my clutch and tie rod come in the mail I guess. I was really hoping the rs clutch would hold up. I would hold off on the swap for a month or so and enjoy the car a bit. Oh well

Got the rear all done today. Gd rear subframe, wider gd lateral links, wrx sway, r180 sti rear diff, r180 rear axles, gc8 type ra rear hub assembly, 2 pot rear brakes.
Thicker r180 axle compared to the rs r160's. Also a little shorted because the sti diff is bigger and wider
Rear end. So big.
Brakes.

5 speed out.
Monstrosity next to the rs tranny.
Swapped over the neutral and reverse swiches and the o2 harbess so I wont have to do any wiring.
Also discovered that the rear main is leaking. Gonna have to address that.
