The rust sucks though. If i remember correctly you bought this car from the east coast and had it shipped out here? Do you think the rust has been there the whole time? Rust is pretty unusual in WA. Also, if both c pillars look like theyve been repaired that would indicate maybe a serious rear end collision?
Thanks bud! Yeah the rust has been there the whole time, the panels covered it inside and the side skirts also. There's holes drilled everywhere in to the shock towers and self tapping screws for everything.
I did buy it from CT 2.5 years ago.
Here's a new pic, just got the painted rear lip on for this weeks show.

This car is everything I want from a legacy! (aside from a bg roof)
WCSS last Saturday was awesome. Placed 2nd against my twin @subarustyles and 1st with the BE.
More huge plans for the wagon but for now I think it is time to park it.

I've decided to part most of the car out and swap everything to a new shell soon. Sold motor and drivetrain to a friend. Still driving the car during the day since the headlights stopped working AGAIN! Thanks to the horrible wiring.
The car has too much rust and isn't really worth fixing. The wiring is fucked. Just want to start over with a clean '99 outback limited. Maybe a rhd swap if I can find a cheap half cut but highly unlikely.
I picked up an RA sti rear end and it had a nice little surprise inside. 4.44 lsd. Will be throwing this in the new car behind the ej207.

I have never worked on a car where the wiring was more fucked than what the previous owner hacked together on this car.
Back at it AGAIN! Spliced in a new headlight control box from morimoto because the last one burned up. All stock connectors for headlights and fogs etc were cut and thrown away. Wires just twisted together in multiple spots on the same circuit and wrapped in electrical tape. All of those connections corroded.
THIS is the biggest reason I am buying another shell.

Well unfortunately the head gasket started to go. Time to strip the car and scrap it. Motor and drivetrain already sold to my buddy. Going to buy another car with a clean shell to swap.

well....a lot has happened since i last posted. I acquired my turbo kit and lets just say the setup is definitely one you don't see every day. waiting on some parts to sell so i can purchase camshafts and have the heads built for my EJ207.
ordered a hipposleek front bumper, waiting on arrival. lots of cool new parts for the next shell.

the turbo kit was made by Apex. the turbo is an IHI RHX6 ball bearing turbo.
hipposleek bumper. don't want to ruin the limited bumper.

Since this last update I have parted out the car and scrapped the shell. Stopped looking for an outback to transfer everything over to.
Don't worry though, i bought another wagon that I'm working on. 93 bg5 gt/b. I'll get a thread going when I have some time.
