Lots of stuff done in the last 4 months. I suppose I should update more.

Had a re-tune done on the car, finally, have everything set up the way I want. Took it to my buddy and got it running at a solid 19lbs in every gear all the way to 7100 redline. I added a 73mm ks tech intake and hks mushroom filter for more air flow.



Still have lots of cleaning up to do under the hood. Have been wanting to for some time. New throttle cable, fix broken rusted bolts with nutserts, route coolant and oil catch can lines, have new vacuum hoses from Subaru that need to be installed. Install my modified sti intercooler splitter.

Installed a new OEM right front axle and inner seal due to leaks.

I also installed my new double din pioneer head unit and two factory OEM under seat subwoofers. Sounds awesome!


Picked up another set of ganador mirrors from hansvoxian, fake carbon fiber.


Bought another hatch spoiler. Uber rare adjustable carbon fiber Prova spoiler.



Picked up what I believe is an rfrb roof rack spoiler, its all carbon fiber. A lot of hate with this spoiler [emoji13]


Picked up a v7 EJ207 with a rod knock from a good friend of mine. Not going to be in the car anytime soon and I still haven't decided what I am doing to it yet. What's nice about the 207 is I can drop it in and run it on my current wrx ecu and harness. If I want avcs all I have to do is buy a pre made 2 wire harness and run it. Lots of power potential with this motor thanks to factory forged internals.

Just the other day I had dead91silvia cut and buff my hood. What a difference!



I sanded and polished my headlights because they were pretty yellow. Started with 2000 grit and finished with 1500 by hand with water. Used meguiars #7 compound and my buffer to polish them out. Hand polish with plastic polish and turtle wax last.

Update:

Dead91Silvia painted my hipposleek carbon spoiler. Threw in some base coat in the clear to experiment and to hide some imperfections I'm the carbon from age.






Headlights arrived. Wanted to change things up a bit. I'll keep my original retro lights on the shelf, just couldn't help it when I saw these ones.






I'm the works still are my hipposleek side skirts and also a rear bumper replacement with color matched stock lip for now.
Need to make a 3rd gen rack fit my car so I can install my RFRB carbon rack spoiler.

It's actually specific for the bg5. The JDM cars have the thin rails like our US 3rd gens do.

Of course! I did try to install the headlights but the wiring is so fucking butchered in my car that I have to figure out what needs to go where.

Got my seat rail for my Bride and installed it. Now I just need to find a matching one.


Installed my second set of retrofit headlights. Waiting for the hate to flow from the east coast retrofit guys and the previous owner lmao!

Also bought JDM rain guards. As soon as I remove all the 17+ year old double sided tape I can install.

The rust sucks though. If i remember correctly you bought this car from the east coast and had it shipped out here? Do you think the rust has been there the whole time? Rust is pretty unusual in WA. Also, if both c pillars look like theyve been repaired that would indicate maybe a serious rear end collision?

Thanks bud! Yeah the rust has been there the whole time, the panels covered it inside and the side skirts also. There's holes drilled everywhere in to the shock towers and self tapping screws for everything.
I did buy it from CT 2.5 years ago.

I've decided to part most of the car out and swap everything to a new shell soon. Sold motor and drivetrain to a friend. Still driving the car during the day since the headlights stopped working AGAIN! Thanks to the horrible wiring.

The car has too much rust and isn't really worth fixing. The wiring is fucked. Just want to start over with a clean '99 outback limited. Maybe a rhd swap if I can find a cheap half cut but highly unlikely.

I picked up an RA sti rear end and it had a nice little surprise inside. 4.44 lsd. Will be throwing this in the new car behind the ej207.

Ooh, that's a Suretrac unit, that's nice. I picked one up a few months ago to put in my Forester myself, tough to find in the R160 flavor, so good score!

Sweet! That's good to know. I was google searching all the numbers stamped on it with no luck. I'm picking up a ver 5 sti halfcut today for the matching transmission, hopefully has cryo treated gears

I have never worked on a car where the wiring was more fucked than what the previous owner hacked together on this car.

Back at it AGAIN! Spliced in a new headlight control box from morimoto because the last one burned up. All stock connectors for headlights and fogs etc were cut and thrown away. Wires just twisted together in multiple spots on the same circuit and wrapped in electrical tape. All of those connections corroded.

THIS is the biggest reason I am buying another shell.
