    ags18 - 04 STI: Exhaust I couldn't pass up!

All stock engine, suspension, interior, etc! Well maintained history. Ever since the release of the S T I the 2004 body style and interior was the only one that I knew I wanted someday.

Disclaimer: ***NO, I am not done with the RHD L e g a c y. It's not going anywhere and I will still be working on it to make it what I have always had in mind for it.

    ----Plans----

    Exterior:
There is alot of small stuff that I want to get right on this right off the bat.
    *Front Fender Liners
*S T I Decal for Passenger side fog light cover and both doors
*New Tail Lights (the current ones are cracked and leaking)
    *Polish headlights
*OEM S T I spoiler (we'll see what happens to the rear badges?? I dont care if they stay or go really.)
*New Pre-Painted WRB Front Bumper Splitters
*eBay front lip with added S T I emblem to the center of it

    Wheels:
    18x8 +40 STR 602 (BBS CH Replicas) with "S T I Center Caps"

    Engine:
Nothing really. Exhaust will be the first thing. I wanna hear this baby purr. I want to keep it reliable and running strong.
*3" Catback but with a Magnaflow/Flowmaster/Borla muffler to keep it rather quiet and focusing on a rumble and not a "wake the neighbors" all the time sound.
*Maybe an SPT Intake with Heat Shield or an ARC intake box done the road ($$).

    Interior: STOCK!
*Boost Gauge for the steering colum.

sick car. Hope to own an STI myself one day.... Unless I won't have extra cash for the speeding tickets I would inevitably get as a result haha.

Found an eBay gem this morning just a few hours after it was posted! No chips, cracks, even swirl marks it looks like. Almost too nice for my car! haha Should be here in about a week. Then it's time for 14 holes or so to be drilled into the trunk lid! :X

Re: ags18 - 04 STI: Decals, wingless, tow hook

**I know this isnt the thread that most all of you want to see me posting in but, I'm filling my time with some quick things I need/want to do to the STI to make it mine. There are a few things that I just cant live with as "my car" and need to do.

-Hate the wheels. For Sale soon.
-Rock chips on front splitters (going to by new painted ones)
    -Spoiler
-Red bulbs in the parking lights (piss me off like you wouldnt believe but have to pull the the entire headlight to change).

New STI Front and Door Decals

Spoiler arrived safe and sound. Just need to buy some of the mounting studs on the bottom. In the meantime I'm going to run wingless. Good look in and of itself!

Harbor Freight $8.xx LED brake light mod....it'll do the trick for a bit.

    OEM Tow Hook Painting

Hole is cut in the fog light cover but, will wait till tomorrow to screw it in to make sure the paint dries.

Re: ags18 - 04 STI: Decals, wingless, tow hook

Is that original spoiler, well, original? I know the WRX came with that kind, did the PO swap out trunk lids or is this just an option I've just never run across?

Re: ags18 - 04 STI: STI Spoiler installed

She's back to the way Subaru intended her! Woo

Making the template. 2 pieces of poster board from Walmart. Lined the studs on the spoiler up and pushed the poster board down on them making the holes needed.

Trimmed the edges and laid it out. Put the 4 original WRX spoiler bolts through the holes for a guide.

Took it on and off 3-4 times to make some adjustments and bolted it down. Silicone, rubber gaskets and washers holding it all down and sealing it up.

    My babies.

Re: ags18 - 04 STI: STI Spoiler installed

    Last Summer:

Swapped over the STi Struts and Tanabe Springs to the car to lower it a bit. Kind of bouncy and thinking about getting some regular WRX struts and H&R OE Sport Springs to make it ride a bit better and clear 18x8's nicely.

Stopped driving it about 3 months ago because of putting too many miles on it for work and then an oil leak developed so the car has just been sitting for the winter. After getting things squared away with the 02 GT Wagon that is now my daily driver my interest in keeping the car has risen quite a bit. I will need to get the oil leaks situated before spring but, have started looking for good deals for a downpipe, up pipe, intake and header as well as a ton of exterior bits to freshen up its highway battled life.

Greddy Ti-C Catback for $100 kind of also got things rejuvenated for me this week! :P I just need to polish the can up a bit more and then sand and paint the mid pipe and axle back and it will be as good as new.
