    SLI raised badges

I haven't looked too deeply in the SLI emblem threads, but it occurred to me it would be sweet to have some chromed SLI badges!! :smt026
something like from these guys. . .
    http://chromeemblems.com/custom_emblems
or i found this one too: http://emblemart.com/

But how sweet would it be to have a factory-looking raised, chromed SL-I badge on your car!!

    represent!!

    just thinkin' :smt002

    Re: SLI raised badges

I've actually considered this as well. The only issue I run into is that the minimum order quantity is 300, and that translates to a lot of money. If we could find the money, we could just buy them and set up a store where people can buy them at their own will.

I think it would be cool. It's just that financial hurdle to get over first.

For those who are unfamiliar with the concept, if you've ever seen a dealer badge that was chromed, that is what it would be like.

    Re: SLI raised badges

^^ that totally makes sense. Like the group buy concept, but you'd need people to commit and pre-pay or something. . .

here are a couple pix I dug out of the sites

could it fall into fundraising by chance? or does that need to be non-profit status with regard to business?

The Emblemart.com says "NO MINIMUM FOR YOUR CUSTOM ORDER! Order 1 or 1,000,000, it makes no difference to us!"

    Re: SLI raised badges

double bump. . . this seemed totally doable, especially with the no minimum order company.

Have you had a chance to follow this up? if not, i'll call it a friendly bump to put it back on the radar

    Bump...

http://emblemart.com/ has no minimum order. we could do it in batches to test interest and for some to represent!
Maybe brew up a batch for core members Reason, start with Moderators?

I missed this thread... I think this would be a pretty cool idea for sure. We need to get a price point and a design done up as well. I think this would be a nice addition to representing the forum.

That being said, we still have a lot going on with the forum switch over, but it might take some time.

This just came to my attention too: http://www.heko.co.uk/
That website looks a little sketchy to me, but I WANT an SL-I grill badge. If they are legit (or if there's another website that makes them), I am down for two.
