Haha, I was just reading that thread last week. I'll be getting the same lights when my current ones eventually burn out.

I haven't even installed them yet. I probably will after work tomorrow.

I am not 100% sure. I asked @fwa2500 the same question. He said around 23-25 lbs which I agree with. That seems to be the weight for most Subaru OEM 18 inch wheels.

One a side note there is a new to me part in the trunk of the car. Before @WPEC moved away he left a Cobb radiator shroud with @Hinyo for me. I finally picked it up.

Yeah, I'm fairly sure they are in the neighbourhood of 25lbs like the other factory Subaru 18" wheels, definitely not light.

I've got a set of stock 18"s sitting in storage just in cases I decide to do "back to stock" thing again and all I can say is that they are much heavier than O.Z. or Prodrive in particular.

Hawk HPS pads are installed. I also had a slider pin stuck on one of the rear calipers. That got taken out, clean up, greased up, and is working now.

I got confirmation my wheels are being shipped out. I bought a set of BBS RV723. More commonly known in the USA as the 04 STI wheels. I found a set for a decent price that were run out on a balance machine and are not bent. Yay for 17x7.5 forged wheels that only weigh 15.7 lbs each, according to Nasioc.

I found this picture of a set of them with the size tire I will be running, which is 235/45/17.

They are gold. They do have some rash I will need to touch up. I actually did not see them get run out. But they are coming from Up Garage via Croooober. They did the same with the Rays I had bought. I have bought a few parts from them now.

PS- @Hinyo needs to update his thread.

    Good stuff!

You must be getting some very competitive shipping rates. I am not having much luck with them, tried to price up a few things and they always come back to me with some hideous quotes for shipping. Not even considering getting a set of wheels from them, would probably have to sell one of my testicles first.

To be honest, the shipping is as much as they listed the wheels for. The total is still a good bit less than the wheels alone would be here. Since they are the only 5x100 STI wheels the US market got people charge a ridiculous amount for them at times.

This evening I am starting the process of repainting the Cobb radiator shroud. Its not going to look spectacular because there is a thick coat of paint with runs in it. I am trying to smooth that back as much as possible before painting it.

In other news I ordered some Grimmspeed gold paint to touch up the STI wheels when they get here. They are scheduled for Monday delivery.

My STI BBS wheels are here. Only two really have any noticeable curb rash. One is fairly slight rash so I will not try to fix that for fear of only making it look worse. The "worst" just has two spots were the gold paint is gone so I will touch that up. I didn't have my phone or camera with me while unpacking them so I will get pics later.

Agreed to touching up your wheels. I bought new BBS wheels for an RX-7 and curbed one of them within a month. Less stressful when things aren't perfect. Those are the 2004 STi BBS wheels? One of my favorites!

My tires arrived yesterday. I got a set of Continental ExtremeContact DWS06. Saturday the car will go to my friend's shop to have the wheels and tires mounted, get an alignment, and have the parking brake adjusted. Then I have to install the Bayson R lip (which I found out there was an issue in production so it may not fit right) and install the Cobb rad shroud.

So my bathroom scale says 46 lbs with the tire. Tire Rack says that tire was 23 lbs new so the wheels are around 23 lbs. I save 8 lbs per corner with the new set up. The biggest difference I noticed so far is the steering takes less effort.

In other news my Bayson R lip is on. Fitment I give 8.5 out 10. My bumper does have a small crease right under the plate though.

That lip makes a big difference for something so subtle. Your car was nice. It is flippin' gorgeous now.

How do you like the DWS06? I had the previous version and the sidewall always felt soft. I ended up running more air pressure and it made it slightly better.

Lovely! I like it a lot. Thnxs for the wheel weight info. Confirmation is always nice.

Does that lip seem like the kinda material that could be painted? It's quite popular unpainted with the lgt guys but I noticed almost all the civic guys paint their bayson lips.

It can be painted. Bayson R includes paint prep instructions. I am debating taking mine back off and painting it satin black.

I think I give you a better opinion now. I have put some miles on them and I like them. Granted I have not pushed them too hard since the alignment rack at my friend's shop was down due to a bad sensor when I got them installed. They handled great in the rain today on the way to Boxerfest. So far I like them.

Just a few pictures @Hinyo took of my car at Boxerfest today. It was a rainy/soggy day.
