I know at least on the second gens a little bit of FatMat went a long way in my doors. I just did a layer on the outside, covered the holes and then ran a strip on the door card itself. Absolutely no rattling anymore, and the stereo sounds a ton better too!

I used some Frost King foam tape on my 2nd gen's door cards. It worked well. I just need to not be lazy. And my JDM stuff should be at my house when I get home from work.Originally Posted by Cooper197

I knew when I bought them that Japanese tags are larger, but I forgot that the holes for the screws are in different places. I am going to have to drill new holes in these. Another thought I had was use them as picture frames. One for each of my Legacys.

Yep, they do. I drilled holes in my license plate with Japanese spacing to make it work since I also have a Japanese bumper. The plate was the only "wrong" bit for me.
At least the frame is plastic, so it will drill easy.

I am pretty sure the ones I got are metal. One has a little surface rust on the back side.

Yeah, that's a fair indicator of being metal.
I need help finding some information. The OEM Hardon Kardon sub sounds like its blown. I am looking at some replacements to put in the rear deck where the OEM sub is. What I cannot find is how many ohms the factory sub is.
Edit- I found out my headunit puts out 10K ohms. Still not sure what the sub is.

I'd probably say 4ohm is safe. Doubt is any more or less. 2ohm might tax the system too much.
Working in a pro-audio/computer shop, I have learned a few things. When you have an audio system, adding speakers on a single line out will decrease the ohm load number. Ohm load too low will tax a unit to overheating and eventually burning out.
Right now I am considering get a 10in Polk Audio sub and box from a friend and running the factory sub wiring down that in the trunk.

Well, I am getting the 10 inch Polk Audio sub and box from my friend. I also just spent a little money on this car. I think a few people know what I bought.

I think I know what it is. I have to start focusing on that stuff with my car at some point.
Yup. I bought what we talked about. You should start working on that after winter. Save up and acquire parts during the winter.

I'm gonna try. Got a few things on my plate at the moment though, The hook is almost done, JDM covers have been ordered, My battery is starting to give me issues (not sure if I should go cheap or not on that), and I really want to get a basket. And I have been looking all over for some cheap Spec B suspension. The car doesn't float at high speeds but it doesn't hunker down like the old legacy did so I definitely need more low.
Speaking of battery, with the covers I ordered, it'll be rather useless to have the SPT Battery tie down. Would you be interested. Has a small bit of corrosion on it.
I think I will pass for now. Thanks though. My stock one had some corrosion too. I took a wire wheel on the drill to it then painted it with caliper paint.

I got the 10 inch sub and box from a friend, KCowles on Friday. The box was originally a box for 2 10inch subs that she cut in half and put the other one in her CRX. Here is the box after I peeled of the carpet, cut some plywood to fit, and sealed the box with silicon and screws.
The plan is use the factory wiring for the factory HK sub and make that power this.

Wonder how much beefier it is compared to stock.
Stock should be 21mm and the Tribeca bar is 25mm according to the internet. Although I bought 25mm Energy Suspension bushing to use with this and they seem to be a little loose.

Edit: do you need brackets as well or just the bigger bushings and stock brackets will do?
