    mrpyb's Kawasaki 250

Picked up a 2010 KLX250SF from a friend in March '13 with only 300 miles! He bought it from a dealer back in December '12 so it is basically new and he was having me break the engine in for him so I put most of those 300 miles on anyway!
Great shape, no mods yet but I have handguards and a rack to put on the back but I don't have time to do anything until I finish my degree. I took the FMF pipe off and sold it because it was too loud for commuting to work at 5:30am, the neighbors already put up with my car.
As of January '14 it has about 1300 miles on it. It's my first bike and I'm loving it.

I've never owned a 250 but I've always thought they were good fun. Does it wheelie easily? That would be something I would need to have :P

It will wheelie, not as easy as my buddies drz400, but it can hold it's own
I'll definitely look to upgrade to a 400 or bigger someday. I'm 6'4" and the 250 is a little small.

You should check out the yzf600r, it's called a thundercat and I've owned two. I'm also 6' 4" and the bike is bigger framed than more anemic race bikes that Yamaha also makes. They're cheap(ish) steel framed, and average 45-50mpg with enough punch to be fun

That looks like a sweet bike! I'll probably get another dual sport when I am ready, either a drz400 or a gs650.

Drz ftw! I love those things, the torque is insane for the weight.

My buddy put dunlop qualifiers on his and outran me pretty handily on one of our favorite roads. They're very capable bikes!

SOLD! House needs new windows...someday I'll get another one but its just not a priority right now. Maybe I'll skip the drz and go straight to a bmw gs when I get another bike (in twenty years!)
