    Aftermarket sub mounting locations

Has anyone mounted a low-profile subwoofer in the same spot as the factory McIntosh Subwoofer option on the BH (00-04) wagons? I've searched every where I can. Google, here, LGT and I have yet to find the answer I'm looking for. So if anyone has some information. It'd be greatly appreciated!

I'm planning on making some custom box's to fit either side of my gen2 wagon, I'm going to use wood for the face of the box and fiberglass for the rest. I'm sure this could work for later models aswell

Kinda shows how i'm going to place my box.

I will try to make a good write up about this when i get it done

I am fairly sure that a few people on SubaruOutback.org have put 8" subs in that location.

I just came across this write up by warrior, he has a sedan but the process is pretty much identical

I've got a BG wagon, but BH is similar, I put an 8" sub under the front drivers seats (electric BH GTB seats)
