Since a lot of the old links had expired, I deleted all of the Megas from the list. I also deleted references to the broken picture links for flags and excess carriage returns. The new OP is about half the length of when I started. I need to see if I can track down some corrections to this list, as there were some errors.

This list really bothers me with the way it is laid out. It is quite improved now, but it is still a whole lot of white-space that isnt necessary. I have an idea of how better to sort it, but I need to play around with it offline before I put it into practice here.

So here is the results of that offline work, I went through and cleaned up the list significantly and updated the layout into a grid sorted by year and chassis. All of the currently available North American market manuals are in the first grid. I still need to clean up the way the Impreza/WRX/STIs are done, but even as it is, this is a significant improvement over the way they were organized before.

I have not yet touched the General Market (UK/Europe/Australia) links. It is on my to-do list, but it will take me some time to get it done.

some of the more observant may notice that a lot of gaps have been filled in. Most notably the Foresters and Tribecas for North American specific manuals. They have been available for quite some time, but for some reason, they were not in this list until now.

He has mostly european service manuals, and the US ones that he has, he got from here.

That said, I do have the newer US Legacy/Outback manuals.. I think up until 2019. I just havent had to time to update this thread here.

I have not seen one freely available on the internet that is that new for the RoW markets. The newest I have seen is BP/BL.

That said, I really need to completely rework this thread.. there are a good number of additions for North America (as I noted before) and a few Japanese models.

I'm looking for either wiring diagrams or complete service manual for any 2015+ Japan market WRX/STI/Levorg. Can anyone here assist me? I've been scouring the net for weeks and turned up nothing; reached out to some Japanese dealers and contacts I have over there, but unsuccessful so far.

I am only in need of 2 section:
1: Rear Wiper and Washer - Wiring Diagram
2: Body Control System Diagnostics - Control Module I/O Signal Chart

This can be for any 2015+ JDM WRX/S4 or STI or Levorg chassis car, as they share identical wiring in that sense.

    Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, there are no freely available Japanese service manuals anywhere. I do have some that I paid for in my collection, but nothing anywhere that new.

Subaru is also transitioning to "interactive service manuals" on the newer models, meaning that there are no PDF versions that exist at all. I am positive that the VA/VM chassis would be only available in this format.

Ah, ok. Thank you for that insight. That was the conclusion I was coming to when searching for them, as I'd only ever found physical CD copies spoken about, which had to be loaded into SSM4. It looks like my only option may be to get someone that actually owns a CD to open it and print the necessary pages I need.

Actually, they don't use CDs for it anymore.. just online subscriptions that all of the dealers pay monthly/quarterly for. In the US, it is techinfo.subaru.com.. I do not know what the URL is in Japan as I have been unable to find it.

That's also good to know! I've seen CD's with 2017/2018 dates, so that must be when they stopped using those.

And yes, that was my other search attempt; to find the Japanese equivalent of our techinfo.subaru.com site, as I figured I could perhaps use a VPN and translator to buy a 24H/48H subscription and download what I needed, but haven't turned up anything. Any insights into this?

So, does the whole "using a subscription to techinfo.subaru.com and downloading all of the sections as a PDF" process not work anymore?

You could click on every single sub-page of the manual and "print" each page as a PDF, but we are talking about hundreds if not thousands of subpages. To see an example of what these look like, try visiting this site: http://jdmfsm.info/Auto/Japan/Subaru...0HTML/G4400GE/

yea, i wanted to print one off for my 05 lego.. its almost 7k pages. The PDF is good because of the find feature, but i still think AllData is easier to use

I knew I had seen it around, so I had to do a little digging to find it again. So, Japanese Subaru dealers likely have their own service, which I have not yet found.. it is probably on some sort of Intranet that I would not have access to.

That said, there is a service called FAINES by JASPA (Japan Automotive Service Promotion Association). It allows independent service companies access to service manuals for all of the domestic manufacturers. The problem is that you must be registered as a repair facility with JASPA to use it. There is a "free demo" where you can get in and look around, but the only Subaru service manual available with that login right now is for a C-type GT7 Impreza (2019 model year).

You can find that service here: https://faines.jaspa.or.jp/enduser/user/login. There is a page with the login information for the "guest" user if you want to check out the GT7 manual.

It has been that long since I read one of these manuals I have totally forgotten as to how I open and read them, especially the HTML versions.
Could somebody dust the cob webs from my old brain, and remind me how to do it please.

Question... I'm looking for the 2020 Outback Manual (BT-BW). The table above shows it in the table, but it is not a link. Does it exist somewhere and the link was just not fully added to the table above? Thanks.

Unfortunately no. Subaru does not publish a PDF version of the manual after the 2019 model. They have migrated all of the model lines over to interactive web based manuals almost exclusively.

The only model that has both an interactive manual as well as a PDF manual at this point is the WRX/STI.. but even then I think those days are numbered.

We do not have a 2010 book listed, but there is a 2009 EUDM Forester manual up there which may get you mostly covered at the very bottom of the list.

    Hey All,

Thanks so much for these links!! If anyone wants the 99 Outback manual separated into files by section, let me know. I've split the pdf and arranged it so you can just reference or print a particular section.

Subaru has gone back and forth on supplying them as a single PDF or each chapter individually. The newest versions available from them directly are as a single documents with chapter and heading tags, so the document should be interactable.
