Locking center differential on Phase 2 4EAT

I've read up on the mods required to lock the center diff on Phase 1 4EATs: find the wire that powers the solenoid, and disconnect it. From what I've read it's supposed to be functional whether or not you give it a resistor bank to dump power into, but will make the AT light flash if you don't.

However, I can't find anything about it on a Phase 2. I have a 99 Outback and would like to set it up with a switch to lock the center differential for off pavement. I'd like to find a rear LSD but hear the VLSD isn't much good anyway, and they're difficult to find around here.

Has anyone tried it on their Phase 2? If so I'd appreciate any advice on it. I've found the wire (or at least it tests right) but know some things are different and would rather check before I hack up factory wiring.

If you want 50/50 power, you can just put it in 1st or 2nd for offroading. Unless you're talking about higher speed stuff.

I haven't seen the equivalent of the duty-C solenoid mod for a phase II tranny anywhere.

1st or 2nd still aren't fully locked, which I'd like to have sometimes.

Another question, not really related: Is there any way to make it use 1 or 2 only, other than just manually shifting it? 1 means keeping the revs high all the time and 2 isn't low enough for some things. I don't want it to shift past 2, just want it to pick between 1 and 2 depending on what I'm doing.
