Yay, stripped lock pin.
Did my rear brakes today (rotors, pads, and new bleeder screws) and over-torqued the rear-driver caliper lock pin (the one you take out to flip the calipers up), stripped it's hole right out...It's an aftermarket pin, one of those nasty gold ones. Anyone have suggestions on what to do? Short of drill, tap, and helicoil? I'm thinking a longer bolt and some loctite to grab those nicer threads deep inside the bracket. If the longer bolt is a working idea, what's the thread size / pitch?
Update: Matched a bolt from o'reilly (M8x1.25 x 70mm), used a couple washers to space it so it didn't punch through the dust shroud and possibly destroy my shiny new rotors. Next time it strips I think a new $35 caliper bracket is in order XD.
