    Hey whats up all,
    As I've been modding away at my scoob for a couple months now I figured it's time to get a thread going on her. She's a '99 Legacy GT 30th Anniversary Limited. This is the first suby I've owned and I'm in love. I bought the car a couple years ago while at school in Colorado. The original engine blew up in Utah while a friend was borrowing it so I dropped in a JDM EJ25D. I brought her back to New Hampshire a few months later and there she sat while I studied abroad in Italy for 14 months. She needed new brakes and rotors when I got back stateside in April and I used this as an excuse to start upgrading. One thing led to another and now the fever has set in.

    Here's what's done so far:

    -JDM EJ25D
    -New Clutch
    -EBC Greenstuff pads
    -EBC slotted rotors
    -18" Enkei 18x7.5 Wheels
    -KYB rear struts /top hats
    -Custom 2.5" cat-back w/ FreeFlow muffler and 4" tip
    -Custom Stormtrooper shift knob (+25 HP easy)
    -New shift boot
    -Custom hackjob front grill
    -2x 12" Kenwood subwoofer in sealed box
    -Kenwood Deck
    -white/carbon fiber eBay antenna to replace snapped stocky

    -8/13: -18mm Outback rear sway bar
    -K&N air filter
    -Swap to Royal Purple w/ K&N filter

    -10/4/14: - '02 WRX Momo wheel
    -Gotham Momo pedals
    -Hella Supertones
    -New custom grill
    -KYB front struts
    -Replica Borla UEL stainless headers

    -12/25/14: -LED headlight conversion
    -Cosmo SRI (Soon to be hybrid but need to pick up a diff coupler)

    -2/3/15: -Kartboy short-throw
    -Gates Racing belts

    -5/4/15:-Rally Armor flippity flaps
    -New 640 CCA Battery

    -5/15/15: -Motul fluids
    -Wix fuel filter
    -NGK wires and Iridium IX plugs

    I know the JDM EJ25 Hinyo got had no EGR. He had to have one tapped in.

    about 5 HP and a few hundred bucks was the big diff. I wanted to order a turbo'd engine but as I had never met the mechanic who installed the engine until I picked up the car due to him being 3/4 the country away from me I wasn't sure he was competent enough to make a proper swap.

    Made the swap to Royal Purple oil w/ a K&N filter, installed a rear sway bar from an Outback and swapped the air filter for a K&N with intentions of piping a hybrid intake this week.

    Been super busy and ultra slack on here, but i've installed a set of Supertones, Gotham Momo pedals, a wrx Momo wheel, a new grille and some UEL headers. Will post pics ASAP

    UHM. ALOT more different than the USDM ej25 of the same year.... ALOT of the engine accessories are NOT interchangeable. power assisted power steering pump as well as different wiring for the AC compressor. cannot use the intake. head has to be tapped for the EGR. The mounts for the accessories are beefier. Coil pack on the intake is placed on the SIDE of the intake instead of on top. those are just some of the differences i remember.

    edit: The water pump housing position is different on the JDM engine. Had to get one from a junkyard so it would point the right way. If you use a USDM pump you have to get a different timing cover housing...

    ^^ also these things, I didn't do really any work to her prior to the engine swap and the engine was swapped 3/4 of the country away from me so I didn't notice the minor, headache causing, differences. I know the EGR had to be tapped and the intake off my blown engine got swapped on. The water pump issue I didn't know about. Pics of new hybrid intake, wrx wheel, and rally armor up soon

    Flaps are on. Just ordered some maintenance parts. Going to bail on Royal Purple and switch to Motul 5w30 w/ K&N filter. Ordered Motul 75w90 to swap out MT and Diff fluids. Ordered NGK plugs/wires. I also just scooped up some welding cable and the necessary goodies to do some grounding mods. Next up will be JDM lights and some fresh paint. Here's a pic of the flippities.

    Plugs/wires, fuel filter, pcv valve and big 3 ground done... she was still running a little sluggish tho. In my tinkering to figure out why, I opted to swap out the MAF I had in it (which I got as a bonus when I bought 2.2 piping for the wife's hybrid intake) for my stock MAF. Holy hell, it's like she woke up from the dead. The ol' girl is lovin' life now =)

    Never got around to putting up an engine bay pic with the hybrid intake using a cosmo sri so here one is. Has anyone swapped the front air scoop for one of the big ones off a turbo and did it make a difference? I swapped a wrx one into the wifes RS for her hybrid but I didn't test it prior to that with the little stock scoop for differences.
