2004 EZ30 Outback. Manual transmission swap?

It's stupid that they never came with a manual transmission. My '89 XT6 was the only line of H6 Subaru that came with a manual transmission in the US but the automatic sucks the fun out of the Outback. It's a nonVDC car so wiring should be a bit easier. I'm starting to collect parts to do the swap but I'm still having issues wrapping my head around the wiring. I do have a 2003 FSM set for this car and it seems to be fairly on point.

I have a few links saved but the wiring modifications I came across were for a 2001 so it's not quite the same.

All the mechanical stuff is cake for me, no problem there. Just trying to figure out the wiring so I don't have a run ability issue or a CEL as I do have to pass emissions. Thought and opinions would be great!

I have his thread, along with a few others saved for this conversion. Since mine isn't a VDC car, the will be less electrical crap for me to work around. In order for it to work though, I have to leave the TCU in place and trick it into thinking when it's in gear and when it isn't. This will help me keep the ECU happy with the neutral switch on the manual transmission and the clutch switch on the donor pedal assembly.

I might add that while this conversion is going to happen, I have a few other items to the car that I need to address before I get the transmission yarded out. I do plan on removing the Outback blocks in the near future to ease the parts I need to find.
