Wanting to wire in some map lights and door lights

I have a 97 legacy L. I got an overhead console from an Outback with map lights, and I got Legacy GT door panels with the lights at the bottom. Anyone have wiring diagrams so I can wire them up to function properly? Or does someone know where they wire into?

The courtesy lights will probably be more difficult. Far as I know there isn't any prewiring into the doors for them, so you'll have to run a wire from a dome light feed someplace, fusebox might be easiest, and run it into the door and to the light. I've had those lights in for like a year and still haven't bothered with wiring them up.

Worst part will be getting the wire through the rubber tube to the door, I spent up to an hour once, I found the best way is to feep some small guage wire rope through with a dull end and then sticky tape the wire to that to pull it through also always pull a spare wire through as it will act as the wire rope in the future.

What year GT did you get the door panels from? I've been dying to do this upgrade and haven't found any.

Have the courtesy lights on them. As far as wiring them, top of my head, it requires an extra diode and tapping to pre existing wires.

I have found the wiring diagram for these, and picked up some diodes at my local Radio Shack (thankfully have one still open here!) and am going to run the wires this week. I was optimistic that there may have already been wiring in there since I had the wires for the tweeters, but had no luck there.

By the way, thanks r3v_v3ng3 for the lights, got them just after a couple days, and aside from one little clip from the lens cover breaking when I took it off (I should have been a little more careful) these are exactly what I was looking for!

For the Door Courtesy Lights, i made an electrical connection to the light room... The hardest job was pass the wires through the doors, from inside The Door Courtesy lights, I bought them to R3v_v3ng3 :-)

That's the part I'm not looking forward to, and really don't feel like taking the full doors off just to wire these in. We have also had 3 weeks of pouring rain every day, so haven't had much time to fiddle around with these at all. Hopefully we will see sun again soon....

I just got done wiring the courtesy lights today, which was a bit of a pain. I didn't take the door off but was able to get the wiring boot off and it made it about 1,000% easier to run the wires through that way (even though it was difficult getting the boots secured back in, but doable).
Below the inner trim panel located just inside the doors in the footwell, I was able to find the connectors that go to the door wiring harness on both sides (for those with wiring diagrams, they are B30 and B101) and found out that the two wires that go into the connector (positions 2 and 5) are actually the same wires that would go through to the door for these lights. No need to add diodes or do any additional work for these since they are already wired into the electrical system. I just spliced into both of these on either side, and have fully functional courtesy lights now!

Of course, I didn't take any pictures when I was doing this, but when I feel like pulling apart that panel again on either side, I will take some pics of the connector itself and the wires so people can use it as a guide to install these themselves, and hopefully not have too much difficulty.
