I am not remembering the thickness of the 251 gaskets. I may have the part numbers out in the shop. I'll check later today.

Kinda sad seeing my car still sitting in the driveway so I put on my SLI stickers.
Silver on the bug shield
Gold on the mirror
And once I have some extra cash I'm getting my bug shield hydrodipped. I like animal print stuff so I'm going with matte clear tiger stripes. (Will be opposite of what's in the pictWill be opposite of whats in the picture. Had a friend do this for me and didn't want to ask him to invert it.

So I still really want a new steering wheel, but I hate the 4 spoke Momos, and want to keep an airbag. If I've done my research correctly the '05 steering wheels won't fit? Does anybody have any insight on this?
I know @nikolaus.conrad is running a 2005 wheel in his '99 Outback. Not sure if he had to do anything fancy to make it fit though.

Thanks Tyler
Thanks. Didn't notice last time I saw his car. I'll have to look into it.
Not much has changed although my engine is now put together and in my car. Just have to finish connecting everything, and I'm in the process of importing some wheels from Japan. Thanks @KNaph for the yahoo auctions thing.
Edit: I see he doesn't have an airbag. I was in a head on collision recently and want to keep one. Otherwise I'd have an old 3 spoke Nardi from a GC/F
I'm in the same position, I want a 3 spoke wheel but not really that keen on losing the airbag. We'll see though, I might just bite the bullet and buy the OMP wheel that I've wanted and lose the airbag...
The main reason why I want to swap is just cause the factory wheel is huge and it's hard to drive aggressively with a school bus wheel.
Curious what the wheels are...
What middle man service did you end up using?

I used http://jessestreeter.com/
He was recommended to me by a friend. They are five spokes, but not Regas.
Yeah, I actually should've used Jesse Streeter when I ordered my Regas, probably would've saved a good chunk of cash on shipping.
Maybe I'll use him to buy a cheap set of Cusco swaybars or something.
And as for the wheels, I'm gonna take a wild guess and say OZ Futura. I think those would look good, but there's just too many options to guess.

Good guess for sure, but not quite it. I went out on a limb with these wheels and I'm not 100% how they'll look. I should have bought a strut brace through him too. There were a couple basic Cusco ones for under $10.

Bwhahaa awesome.
Started my car today.
Shut down my car today because it appears to be puking oil out of the rear main seal. Guess that's what happens when you put together an engine while working full time and going to class 25hrs a week. I don't want to take the engine out again so I think I'll try getting my car on a lift and dropping the tranny instead.
Brought the car home the other day and have driven it 50 miles or so. Runs great. Unfortunately I have some electrical issue regarding the headlights. Only the drivers side light works and the high beam indicator on the dash is always on. So I can't even take my car to work until I fix that.
You have a loose wire on the headlight that is out. The high beam half lit?

The driver's side like works like normal. I can switch the beam off and on, however the indicator on the dash is always lit, which I'm sure if making it so I can't turn the fogs on. The passenger side headlight doesn't work at all.
All this sucks because I work overnights so I drive to work at 11PM
Mine does that when one of the connectors comes loose, I half ass wired the lights into the new car, I need to do some actual wiring instead of sliding pins in connector and taping up lol

So what does everyone with lowered second gens have for exhausts? I was going to put a Vibrant resonator on after the cats but there's just no room for it.
Disregard the above post. Found a shop that replaced the secondary cats with my resonator and did a 2.5" straight pip from there. Sounds amazing. Not too loud and no drone in the cabin.
