    r3v_v3ng3's 99 RHD postal wagon

I got all the second gen chassis code BD/BG/BK and now gonna add a postal in the mix

Got this several days ago for $450. Its pretty beat up from the outside and dirty inside but the engine runs good. I will have to go thru the whole car and get it cleaned. Jot down all the stuff that needs to be replace and remove. Specially all the ghetto stuff on the car. The latch is not bolted for the hatch, I'm guessing since the key don't open it lol. Made the lady show me where the nearest dollar store so I can get a tape, to tape the hatch down for the ride home. The lady couldn't pay the registration backfees. Got it payed Friday and now its legal to drive, just not road worthy.

    Interior:
    Jdm wrx wagon seats
    Audio:
    06 wrx radio
    Exterior:
    jdm grill
    jdm signals
    jdm moldings
    jdm folding mirrors
    jdm headlights
    jdm foglights
    jdm taillights (outer)
    GT front bumper
    GT rear bumper
    GT hood
    GT skirts
    Suspension/steering:
    Wrx kyb struts/prodrive springs
    Wheels:
    wrx wheels
    Brakes:
Outback 2 pot front brakes and rear disc conversion
    Engine: Runs good

    The best part.......... Its green

Holy crap. Your other builds are nuts, so I wonder how crazy this one is gonna be built. How do you even go about finding one of these things? Just pop up on a local listing?

Nothing too crazy yet. Basically stare at craigslist all day and jump at every great opportunity. As long as a car is not posted on San Francisco craigslist (which have alot of traffic), you have a good chance to get a good deal. This car was actually posted last december but she wanted $1k firm. She then told me it had back fees and I let it pass by. Then all of the sudden she posted it for 800 then down to 450 later that day. I guess rent was due lol

    @ Oc7ane thanks
@ foohfooh thanks. Yeah there was one I let it slip locally because he didn't have the title for $500 and it was clean, then it got flipped for like 4k several months later
@ SiNGH I think it was used on the bonus round for the old school street fighter lol
@ meepers lol I had to make the same choices as you between a 99 (beat up postal) or 99 dual moonroof outback.

Sorry guys I'm trying to figure out how to reply in one post with multi quote but can't seem to figure it out hahaha.
Anyways hopefully I will find some time tomorrow to take a full outside pic of the car as it is now. I still keep going into the wrong door lol

Hmm maybe I'll have to keep an eye out for one for my next car haha.

As for multi-quoting, I usually go to each post and click "Reply With Quote" at the bottom right of the post, and then when that little window comes up I copy the provided quotation code, move to the next post I want to quote, and then when that text box pops up I paste the stuff I previously copied just beneath the new stuff, then copy all of that and continue with however many posts you want to quote.

    Hopefully that all made sense.

There's a multi-quote button. Hit the button on every post you want to quote, then when you click "reply to thread" it loads them all in the quick reply box.

No its offered here in the states as a postal wagon. More to deliver mail up in the mountains.

Here some pics on how it sits now. It just looks bad on the outside but once I put in another fender and rear bumper it will look ok lol

You can see the packing tape I used to hold the hatch down (latch disconnected)

It was maintained by HOLT/CAT in its earlier years
    Jdm grill/net lol

    pretty dirty interior

3 out of four tires have the metal threads coming out :smt087

Also changed the oil/filter, front and rear diff. The ATF is next

Also noticed that this car was slightly easier to drive than the previous year postal wagon. I swear I test drove several postal's and the turn signal/lights is on the right. This one is just like the LHD version where its on the left. Unless its been converted

Thats awesome. There was a guy that had a white 1st gen wagon (91 i think) but wanted $1200 then spike the price up when there was alot of interest. Eventhough this is more beat up, its still the better deal.

So this sucks... I had bunch of jdm parts (headlights/taillights/side marker/grill) and didn't have a car to put into (outback is back to stock) so I ended up selling majority of it. Now I'm back sourcing for them again lol. Luckily I still have a set of jdm fogs to put in this car. Told my friend who's in australia to grab me bunch of parts when he gets back.
I already ordered a jdm headlights and installed jdm folding mirrors (which was a piece of cake!). I have a fender but its burgundy (from the parts car) but kinda looking for the same color. Maybe I'll just spray can the fender for now until its time to paint. Already installed the GT wheels and when I have time, slap on the GT calipers and rear disc conversion. I got 3 other cars I'm working on right now and next week I have to body/paint a 350z thats all kitted up.

Turn signal and wiper stalk setup is the same as the USDM cars on both my 99 and 93 RHD. You've probably figured it out already but, these things are like 99% identical to US LHD cars and it's just all the blatantly obvious stuff that's different. I've loved every minute of all my junk yard and parts car treasures I've been sourcing to get these cars fixed up.
