    Seat swap

Will a 2008-2011 set of STI seats fit in my BG Outback? Theres a set for sale near me in great condition that I think would look great in my Outback...

I've seen accounts of them going into SG foresters if you swap the bases, so I think there is a chance. I've never seen anyone actually do a legacy though, but you would definitely need to mix and match parts between the two sets of seats to make it work, not a straight bolt in.

    Requires some work.

Yes I recognize that link is GR to GD, but the GD seats bolt up fine (Ok one hole doesn't line up but it ain't going anywhere) in the BG so the mods in that thread should work fine for a BG.

SG Forester seat rails are compatible with BD/BG/BK Legacys, so if it took a swap to fit GR into SG, you can be sure it's similar work to get it into your BG.

The only thing I ever had to swap out with my BK & SG when I put 03 WRX seats in was I kept the original seat belt buckle hardware - I remember it requiring a trip to the hardware store to get some bolts because they changed the design (stud vs. threaded hole) but everything else lined up perfectly.

Seat swapping FTW. The 2g leggy stock seats bite. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my 03 WRX seats, and Love that my WRX Wagon rear seat is in my car so I have matching cloth! I loved them in my bug eye and have put them in several vehicles, including both of my running Legacys. But, the next closest awesome sauce seats i found. I installed a set of RX-8 buckets in my Ranger. They are SUPER supportive. the ONLY bad part, the side bolsters on the bottom are high, and have a steel support structure, so getting into a lifted truck was fun. But I would not hesitate to install these in any vehicle. It took me a few hours to cut off the stock brackets (drilled the rivits) and fab new mounts that I then welded onto the rails. Direct bolt in seats after 4 hours of Fab work.
