I've told people that that there were about fifteen reasons. A major one being that we may be moving and don't know if track days are in my future. Another is that the Legacy was maxed out unless I could afford to do something with the engine, and I can't. I'm very sad about selling it but I think it was time.

more power is easy and cheap in Subarus. Especially when you're starting with an EJ22 LOL. Well, I'm sorry to hear that.
Just out of sheer dumb curiosity... How much are you asking for it?

It's already sold and I'd rather not say what I sold it for; it's just too painful LOL. It was for sale last summer, with a total of zero interest from buyers, so I put it up again a month ago for quite a bit less. It sold for pennies on the dollar.

I had thought about boosting my EJ22 but engines are not my strength. I would have needed help and I couldn't even hire someone to roll my fenders. Another reason is that the track I was driving on eats turbo EJs for breakfast. It became a running joke. "Which Subaru is going to explode today?"

I had some great times with the Legacy, and still have 20 track videos, hundreds of photos and all the memories. If things settle down next summer, I should be looking for a '91 to '93 Miata; ideally with a Rotrex sc. I loved my '95 M Miata (but not enough POWER) and hope to get something similar.

And SuperMiata parts. Although they are the same company as 949 Racing.
