What's the ETA on getting this project started, it's gonna be amazing to see it all come together... Do you happen to have the part number for the Cusco Underbody Brace and how do you know it will work on the USDM chassis?
Blue Steel Mica would look amazing on this car and I think it would go extremely well with the interior... Have you figured out what color you're going with?

I don't have any part numbers off hand. I'm sure you could check CUSCO's site and find it... and I'm guessing it'd work on US-spec cars since this one's for NA Legacys.
I don't know yet what color I want it. To be honest, I'm not too terribly concerned about it right now since I don't plan to return in the near future. When I've figured out when I will return and I start looking for a car, I'll re-visit the issue.

The brace fits fine.. I installed one for Bataru.. however its a bitch since the bolts tend to seize..

Geez I hate that term. The D model is only the second revision of the BE/BH generation (it was revised twice)...... so I would think if you HAVE to use the term "revision", it'd be a "revision B" or "revision 2" if anything.Originally Posted by BigWillieStyles
Anyway, If you have read the whole thread you will know that I do not have a car to put the parts on, But I fitted them on an A model car with no problems.

Subaru called them Rev A, B, C, D and E, so why can't you?
I understand what you mean thou - "facelift" would be easier.
Japan never did.... That's why it says "Applied Model Code" next to the model code on your ID plate instead of "Revision".Originally Posted by bobbyjimmy

So to sum this up.. Legacy BE Model D Rev #
Also to add the model changes stopped at D. No E.... BobbyJimmy your thinking of the BL/BP models which goes to F.

thanks mate. I am aware there were no changes for Rev A to C but the problem is probably due to a mis-understanding. For instance this kanji -> ? (k/gata) is used beside the letter which means style/type. I believe the same kanji is used to indicate 'revision' in other Subaru's. Therefore you have some confusion between revision and style. Its not really that important that people understand that there was two revisions IMO.

You clearly don't know Yamazaki !
And style / type have nothing to do with Revision. Style D / Type D are still somewhat a simile to Model D. Revision is similar to Change / Update
But hey I never did well in english class.

Whats this suppose to mean? You clearly don't know Yamazaki !
yeah, thats what I was trying to say above. I guess I wasnt clear. Basically, the same kanji is used too represent model/revision/style/type, this means that there is widespread confusion as the Kanji is misleading.Originally Posted by chuckthefuk

The kanji is not misleading if you can read it. That character you typed doesn't ever mean revision.

Okay, so the parts collection isn't done. I forgot I still need swaybars (front and rear), rotors, pads, and an adapter for the rear brakes (and I'd still like to find a set of FHI 2pots for a decent price...).
Then there's whatever else I haven't though of that I would have to change on a US Outback to the Blitzen.

Kartboy makes a big brake adapter bracket for the FHI 2 pots...
Are you trying to get all these parts in Japan, because Rallitek makes sway bars and rotors and pads can be purchased at easily here or in Japan I'm assuming...
I saw in your parts thread that you'll be doing requests again, how long are you delaying your move???

Looks like a big project! But worth it! Vary cool!
Well, none of this is too in depth. It's basically replacing a bunch of body panels. Most of the guys I see on here are doing swaps and other more technical stuff. Or like you, practically building/rebuilding whole cars. This project is a far cry from all of that. The only thing special about this project is some of the parts.
