It's official, @Dead91silvia will be there! He'll bring the S401, the wife'll bring her Forester (and leave when she gets bored), and I'll bring the matchbox car!

Or should I bring the Impreza and keep it all Subaru?

I think people would want to see the little dude much more then the Impreza. And I'm perfectly happy with driving the S401.

You should bring a picture of the GT, GTB, and Baja with you.

Looks like my friend Shawn will be there in his 08 Legacy 3.0R Limited. I bet @Rubie_25GT, @kcowles, @Hinyo, and @SelfishBlue will all be there too.

So, Whole Foods has another event happening that day, and we will not be able to have the meet there after all. They just now told us about this, and it sucks about the late notice, but we are looking for alternate locations now.

Right now, the time and date are not changing, just the venue.

I am going to be sorting through my parts this afternoon and updating my FS thread. If anyone who is planning on attending the meet wants any of my parts, I can bring them down with me!

I have lots of BFMs, two sets of wheels, some brake parts, and some switches and whatnot that I do not have listed currently... but will be later today for sure.

Yeah, I asked about using the Whole Foods lot a month ago, and it took them a while to respond (I had to keep asking for a response too). It's a different person than I dealt with last year. I am working on permission for the new venue, but I forsee no issues. Unlike Whole Foods, we could probably do it there anyway, but I want to make sure every thing is on the up-and-up.

Even weirder. I didn't make the call until several minutes ago.

So officially we still don't have "permission". Giant does not own that parking lot, but the manager I spoke with has no problem with it. I have been trying to contact the representative that does control the lot, but he is not returning my calls. I say we hold it there anyway. It's always empty in the back and the weather forecast will prevent the lot from getting crowded.

Eh, that was me who updated the facebook event. I started filling it in, stopped, and decided to ask you @Yamazaki. I must have hit submit instead of cancel.. Oh well, at least it was not incorrect.

If anyone wants me to bring down anything from my FS thread, I need to know before tomorrow morning so I can put them in my car before I leave CT.

This may prevent me from showing up. Boxerfest was bad enough with it raining all day. And its about an 80% chance of rain from about 3am till 6pm. I did ask @Hinyo about parking garages in the area.

There actually are some parking garages that I can think of. They aren't super easy to find though (It's the parking garages for the regional SoA office here).

Is there actually an office in Columbia? I've always seen that address and thought it must just have been a typo they never fixed

It's real. It's a small office space within a larger building with a bunch of other offices. It's also not easy to find, especially if you plug the address into Google maps. You'll go to the wrong place.

Boxerfest was 7am-5pm in the rain. That is plenty for me. I will make my decision on Saturday. Worst comes to worst we can move once people show up.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. The thing is- there are bathrooms and food at Whole Foods and Giant. There is nothing near the Subaru offices.
There is a parking garage near the mall, but since it's at the same time as "Wine in the Woods", there will almost certainly not be enough open parking for us to meet up in the area.

I will not return to Boxerfest for two big reasons - (1) price of admission not worth what you get, and (2) long lines for expensive food for what you get. I think there were porta-johns, but I don't remember. For me, any meet has to be worth the price of admission and have facilities that are worth keeping me there. But I realize that's just me and everybody has different opinions.

Chance of rain has gone down slightly.

Boxerfest was much better this year despite the rain. Lots more food trucks and vendor displays. And watching people try to auto-cross high power cars on r-compounds in the rain was hilarious.

It looks like forcast went from 1 full inch of water, down to 1/2 inch as well. Thats moving in the right direction.. but who knows? It could be a perfectly clear day.. or a monsoon by the time saturday comes around.

    Just gotta keep positive!
