I replaced the stock 15" steel wheels on my Legacy with Legacy GT wheels. I managed to snag a steel 16" wheel off a Forester and was going to make a full size spare. Aside from tire size, is there any other considerations for a full sized spare?

Just where you are going to fit it. Test fit it, you might need to partially deflate it (requiring you to carry a compressor) and it will very likely stick above the floor level.
The idea was to fit it under the floor. Seems to be mixed results about 205 55 16's fitting under the floor. I guess I will test fit one of my wheels in the trunk and update.
I know the crosstrek owners have been able to squeeze full size tires by raising the floor with spacers - the entire trunk floor is one hard panel though, might not be as easy with your BH

I have a 225 45 17 on a 8" wide wheel in my BK spare tire well. Cant imagine theyre much different. Its fits almost. spare tire cover sits about a 1/2" up near the tail gate. 215, or a 7.5" wheel might get it closed.
