    2nd gen tire size

Hey guys so my tires are shot. And I'm wondering if I can run a set of 195/60/15 size tires. I was initially running the standard 205/70/15. So I'm wondering if I can run the 195/60/15 without any issues??

Are you getting them for free? Seems an unusual choice of size.
    Both 15" so OK
10 mm narrower tire than what you have but OK. As long as the rim will handle it.
2" less diameter so the car will sit about an inch lower and your speedo will be off so at 60mph your speedo will read 65mph. Acceleration will improve slightly but top speed will drop. Great for 1/8 mile drags.
It will work but you might not like the end result (or maybe you will. Who knows?).
You might also check the load rating of the new tires. They might not work for a 3000+ pound car.
    Good luck!

So it'll just be a little off..? I do t know much about it so I appreciate the feedback. As long as it doesn't malfunction while driving I'll probably go ahead and try it. They will be going on the stock outback rims so I feel like they should be able to handle it.

That's over 8% different speedometer rating. You certainly could run it, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Your speedo will run higher then you actually are going... But running them wont really hurt anything but your MPG.

I had a small diameter tire on a Mustang a long time ago and I kind of liked it. It felt quicker on acceleration. Could you do me a favor if you put them on. Report back if you notice a seat of the pants difference. Thanks!
