    Paint Match - :(

So I was in a minor accident which banged up my bumper cover/fender. My work has graciously agreed to repair the damage as I was on the job when it happened. I am pretty particular when it comes to attention to detail, which might make this situation worse. The shop got a new bumper/fender, they painted just the bumper/fender. Now I am no expert in auto paint, but I did speak with the owner and I asked him if it would be helpful to drop off my gas cap to help aid in matching the paint, my request was denied and the answer that I got was that it would not be necessary...I get my car back and what do you know, the paint is a tint darker...UGH! I understand that red has been dubbed the HARDEST color to paint match but I feel like it could have been better than this. Also, to make the job completely right there should been some blending going on with adjacent panels...

Just trying to figure out my options.
    1) Should I hang tight and see if the paint "fades" into a better match ?
    2) Get the rest of the car waxed/polished to help with the color match ?
    3) Call shop owner and express my concerns ?

Or maybe I am just being an asshole ?

    Comments & smart remarks welcome...

We had part of our Legacy GT painted and it didn't match until we had the car buffed, then it was quite good. In your case, IDK, it looks very off from the photos.

Stopped by the shop, owner was gone, confronted the paint guy who confirmed that it was quite a bit darker. He understands my concerns, we will see what happens. Have a call in to the owner and left a message, otherwise I am going back tomorrow.

Try to buff the paint and see if there's a change.
