    USDM wanna be JDM B4/Blitzen/S401

I used to own a bugeye wrx, WRB and all, way back when before kids vaped and stance was lyfe. It was a pivotal moment in my young adult life and focused me in the direction i have followed to this day. I moved away from the Subaru platform when i moved out to California for school but always knew one day i would be back. I was always a sucker for luxury, and the legacy was the peak of Subaru's luxury line back in the day so it only seemed natural to build one. A few years after I moved home and was settled, I started looking for a shell to build; 2002 Legacy GT limited with the winter package, manual trans only. It took me almost 2 years to find the right one, including a trip to Florida to look at one that was a fantastic misrepresentation, but alas, I had finally found my shell, No rust, silver, sitting outside a gay bar on 4 flat tires and with a blown clutch. Perfect. I bought it and a half cut within the week, V3 GR8 STI, EJ20K 8250 RPM's of hate. A potent package indeed. I had the swap done in a month, merged the harness and beat the ever loving piss out of the car. It was great, no hood scoop, stock looks, stock wheels, stock brakes, 4 different dry rotted tires, STI power! It only lasted about 8 months until I blew the 20K up, was I abusing it? Absolutely, I dont know any other way to durability test things really. So, EJ207 fever set in while i was pricing out the rebuild for the spun bearing on the 20K, and I ended up buying a v5-6 (still unknown) EJ207 that ended up being the biggest financial mistake Ive made in many years. Ive been quite lucky buying JDM engines in hindsight, but this one was a real pile of shit, dropped valve guides, melded plastics and sensors because it was on fire! Ive basically rebuilt from the block back up on this damn thing and in the process changed from OBD1 to OBD2 using a 02 USDM WRX ecu and harness, intake manifold and cam/crank gears. Long winded I know, so ill just get to the current mod list (I have over 800 pics of the process of this car being built but for the sake of time, file size and my sanity, Ill just start with some of my favorite pics and where were at currently.

Love everything about this car. The hood is indeed fantastic. Looks a million times better than an 02-07 scoop on there, imo.

Did you change the front bumper after that first picture? If not, it is not a Blitzen bumper.

I have the blitzen bumper on, I just haven't painted it yet so it's not really photo worthy until then but

I really like your car, makes me wish I had kept mine and have been able to take it this far. I am curious as to where you are able to source the parts. I am thinking about getting another BE in the near future and swapping it. Thanks
