    Impreza front end swap??

I apologise ahead of time if this has been covered before, but I'm new to the subie platform. I've searched for awhile now and still haven't come up with a set answer. Is it possible to convert a 99 legacy 2.5gt front end over to a Impreza front end? I recently had the help with getting my front end smashed, so I'm looking at doing a front end swap if possible.

Anything is possible with enough fabrication and money... but it is not a direct bolt on job for sure.

So you want to put a Legacy front on an Impreza? Putting an Impreza (like the 2.5 RS) front bumper on that generation Legacy has been done before but I don't know the procedure. If it will work one way, I suppose the reverse will also work. Swapping the entire front with headlights, I don't know. This is all I found with a quick search. Not much info. but some attached pictures.

I'd bet someone here has done this swap.

Timmtizzy - there'd be lots of "nip & tuck" required on the actual bumper. The upper radiator mount piece will likely have to be modified to fit the Legacy lights. The grill will have to be narrowed slightly. The hardest parts will be the fenders to line them up with the "A" pillars as well as the length & width of the hood.

If you're trying to go for the Legacy look, perhaps there are some tasteful JDM replacement bumpers/grills etc that would work for what you're looking to do?
