The Saturday after I did the cold air barrier, I drove about 190 miles of freeway, everything ran very well and it seemed to respond better and possibly got better fuel consumption. I ran the OBD2 via the Torque app on my phone and the fuel ratio was spot on, except when I made a quick throttle change, but it got back to good numbers very quickly. I also noticed that the Intake Air Temp stayed about +/-10*F with the ambient temperature, as long as the car was moving above 20mph or so.

    Heres more pics....

I finally got around to completing the Reverse Flood and rack mounted Light Bar! It was a long time coming, but Im happy with it! The Reverse Floods are just some generic thin work lights from an auto supply and standard use H3 55watt bulbs, upgraded to 100watt in each. The LED light bar is a Heise Blackout 30" Dual Row. I used (2) BE/BH Legacy Foglight switches to trigger them on for a factory look, all the dash switches have been changed out to Blue LEDs for the illumination and Red LEDs for On. I cant wait to see how they perform at night!

Over the weekend drove up to Sterling Lake near Cisco Grove, CA and did some light wheeling and camping with friends. They had better prepped vehicles, all were lifted, Toyota FJ, Ford Expedition, Toyota Landcruiser & Misubishi Montero. But my Subi did well and they all thought we did well! Time to look into a bit of lift and better/taller tires!

    Looks good dirty!

During last weekends adventure, I scraped the front bumper valance a few too many times, so I got busy with a couple of saws and fixed most of that. I am still going to clearance out more material to access the recovery points.

I still might chop the whole bottom portion, but for now I am undecided.
Im not liking loosing the foglights, but the OEM suck. Im thinking about getting a light mesh grill like on the B4 or Blitzen and tuck my Hella Fogs behind that and in front of the radiator!

Last Friday I rolled down to Boulder Creek to meetup with SubieFISH and discuss lift options... Its happening! Going with their 4" lift and using their Gen1 Tacoma strut conversion for the rear end and '06 Forester struts for the front. Should net 4-4.5" and fit 29-30" tires after cutting and hammering the wheelwells!

While I was at their place, we drove their R&D course and the car did well, but dug the front bumper in and tore what remained. So on Sunday, I cut the rest of the lower half off! But its ok, cause its getting nice Jeep style bumper soon!

I went down to Boulder Creek to SubieFish yesterday after work and we got my front bumper installed!

Im super happy with it, its hard to believe it was designed for a Jeep TJ and not a Subaru! It didnt add as much weight as I expected! The new bumper weighs 63 lbs including shipping materials and we probably removed 20 lbs of the OEM bumper!

Im really itching to get the lift kit installed and getting new tires and rims!

Went to meet up with Mountain Roo Sacramento and did a trail run out to Jolly Boys Mine today. Awesome trail and the swim hole created in the mine pit is amazing!
