    Very nice!
I've decided that this year (like so many years recently,) just isn't the year to get back into autocross. The V70 is going to be put to those duties, but this year is going to be the year of getting it in proper shape, and next year it'll be ready to pass tech.

Its better to take your time and get things right. I have a few maintenance/upgrade items I need/want done before my next event. Anyway, this was at the Mercedes Benz Club of America Greater Washington Section autocross at Summit Point Motorsports Park last Saturday. Photo taken by Bill Stockton.

Finally took my car back to my friend's shop to do more maintenance/upgrades. Its getting a Moroso baffled power steering reservoir and fresh fluid, Flyin Miata end links, and SuperPro 70a differential mount bushings to replace the totally trashed bushings. We also have a gasket on order to hopefully fix the oil leak that appears to be coming from between the engine block and filter adapter.

While my car was at my friend's shop we decided to have him fabricate a new muffler section for the exhaust. The chamber is some left over stock from another shop that makes higher end exhausts that are $3k or more for BMWs.

If you care to hear the new muffler here is my best run from the last autocross event I went to.

I picked up a set of 17x9 +40 Konig Hypergrams with 245/40/17 Continental ECS02s. I will be swapping to a 200tw tire in the spring. Likely the RE71RS. Photo credit to Bill Stockton. Taken at the September 29th WDCR Solo event.

Mazda Motorsports is running a sale on all NC (3rd gen) Miata parts through the end of November for program members. I took advantage of this to order the offset bushings that go in the bottom of the front spindle to gain an additional degree of negative camber along with the Club Spec and Spec MX5 sway bars that are made by Eibach. The parts should arrive tomorrow. There is a chance I may get the sway bar installed before my last autocross of 2024 on November 2nd.

I also ordered some multi-coat oem fog lights and will be doing a retrofit on the headlights with @Hinyo in the coming weeks.

I just joined you in the NC club, buying a 2007 soft top GT. I may have a few questions but for now: How did your Carbon Miata spoiler fit? Did it come primed or is it carbon fiber. I have a small dent right where that spoiler would fit and might be cheaper than fixing the dent. Very jealous of your wheels! Thanks.

Congrats on the purchase! First, the soft top and hard top have different trunks so make sure to get a soft top spoiler. Second, Carbon Miata's fitment and QC is not great. My spoiler fits OK at best. But other people I know have ones that fit well. I would say get one cheaper from Ali Express. They are all made in the same few factories. Mine is carbon fiber on the outside, but plastic or something in the middle. There is an unpainted version that is cheaper you could just paint black.

If you plan to do anything suspension wise, Goodwin Racing currently has a fall sale going on Koni shocks. Including there kit with the Progress lowering springs. Those are generally considered the best option for lowering springs. Not too low but still comfortable too.

A few weeks ago with the help of @Hinyo and @Rubie_25GT and another friend the Miata got a headlight retrofit along with JDM multicoat fog lights and I touched up the rolling on the fenders. The low beams are not as blue as they look in the picture. It was taken before they warmed up.

The Miata is currently at my friend's shop for some off season upgrades and maintenance for the 2025 season. Its getting Redshift Competition one way adjustable coilovers, Eibach front sway bar, Mazda Motorsports offset bushings in the front knuckles, 9 Lives Racing Big Wang, a new water pump, new HPS coolant hoses, new factory oil cooler to replace the leaking one, and new right rear wheel bearing. First thing he did was mount the wing since the uprights needed to be slightly modified to fit the PRHT trunk lid.

2025 autocross season upgrades are done. I am picking the car up from my friend's shop tomorrow. A previously loved 9 Lives Racing version 1 wing was modified to fit the PRHT trunk lid. Next up was replacing all the coolant hoses with a silicone kit along with a replacement water pump. Next, the leaking oil cooler got replaced with a later revised unit. The front anti-roll bar got upgraded to an Eibach unit. The big upgrade was ditching the fine, but soft street coilovers to Redshift Motorsports competition spec units. Did a mild corner balance and had a racing alignment performed. Also replaced both rear wheel bearings. This thing is ready to start the upcoming autocross season!
