Shopping for a new alternator and wondering if anyone has a preference toward one or the other brand.
Note: It looks like Hitachi makes the RCPS alternator.

I've never heard of "RCPS", and googling it does not give me a whole lot of good information. Pretty much all of the Subaru alternators are originally manufactured by Hitachi, so you will see that logo somewhere on all of the remanufactured units. Given that I havent heard of RCPS, I would go with Bosch myself.

Yeah, I was a little hesitant about ordering anything from RCPS as I performed the same search this morning and came up with nothing. It looks to me like they sell Hitachi products at wholesale price on Ebay, which seems like a bust to me. I wonder what the catch is and I'm not gonna look any further. I think playing it safe and sticking with the Bosch alternator is definitely a good call. Thanks!

Well, I ended up going with the remanufactured alternator from Napa and it suffices for sure. Immediately, I noticed a drastic difference in power to all electrical systems, as well as, better flow in transitions while driving. Pretty satisfied so far!
