    is a 2.2 from a 1997 and like a 2.5 from a 2002 a direct swap ?

    This is from Ken who may still be on here. You can also use the block from that 2002 2.5 you mentioned but you have to use the DOHC heads and intake to avoid changing out the wiring harness. This is only from what I've read over the years so proceed with caution.
