Red face 96 Legacy GTB, and 96 legacy L

hello all, thisis my first post to the forum to just introduce myself, my name is james and i live in the Kansas city area. I currently own 2 subarus, a USDM 96 legacy sedan, and a 96 legacy GTB (auto)that i just picked a few days ago. I found this forum while looking for information on my new legacy as there’s not to much other than this site i have found. and if anyone has any tips for keeping the new GTB in good shape would be greatly appreciated!

Awesome pair of cars! That 2.2l sedan will run forever if you just do the most basic of maintenance, and the GT-B is the dream car for so many of us.

thank you!!! and yes i agree the 2.2 is amazing. that car in particular has 221,000 miles, and 9 owners. the car every about 20k miles had a breakdown that caused it to just sit for years and that cycle continued for nearly every owner until I got the car after it was sitting on the side of the road with a bad timing belt for about 2 years, and if you got a good luck at the car you could only assume the car came from Maine or northeastern US sense every single thing that could rust is rusted. only thing that got saved is the engine bay due to all the fluids hanging around in there and never being cleaned. then shortly after i got the sedan i had planned to sell it to my buddy but he unfortunately passed away before being able to buy the car so I'm keeping it in his legacy. the future plans is hopefully supercharge it and restore the car to its original glory plus some. The GTB I pretty much stole it for the price I got it for. it has only 72k kilometers, its in amazing condition (is was graded a 4 on the japan auction report) and I got it for only $5000!!

Congrats on the GTB pick-up - I'm starting my search on a BH but might consider a BG for the cost/example. How did you source the vehicle, mind sharing what you paid for the cost/shipping?
