I just got my front swaybar yesterday and they sent me the BSF19X but on globalperformanceparts.com they list BSF14x for my car. I have a 98 sedan... Any of you guys get the whiteline 22mm front bar and have the part number?

1998 Legacy L sedan...
WRX bits & pieces, but factory drivetrain.
Once upon a time I thought I needed an automatic. I now wish I could go back in time and smack the shit out of myself.
http://whiteline.com.au/
lists the BSF19 for the 94-97 Leg
and the BSF14 for the 97-99 Leg
97 Legacy GT Red & Silver-------96 OBS Blue Green Black & Silver
95 Talon TSI AWD Green 12.9@102-----91 Grand Wagoneer Grey & Woody
From the Whiteline Catalogue:
F Swaybar-X heavy duty excl turbo 9/97-98 BSF14X 1 22mm
F Swaybar-X heavy duty excl turbo 94-8/97 BSF19X 1 22mm
edit... backpack beat me to it!
Sorry, forgot to mention that I read that already. But then if you scroll down to an Outback, it lists it as a 97-98 wagon and they're all BSF19(X)
So I'm just trying to figure out what, if anything changed in these years and if there's a discrepancy in whiteline's catalog. I'll probably just have to wait for a response from GPP and see what they say.

The difference is the frame bushing:
Pictured above is the wrong one on my '95, your '98 needs that style. The bars themselves are the same.

I have the 19X on my '99 Wagon L. Works great, and fits just fine.
The three most common expressions in aviation:
"Why is it doing that?"
"Where are we?"
"Oh S...!" *(The last three letters are omitted since when this expression is said, there is little chance to finish it)*
I is confused... your sig says you have an L sedan.Originally Posted by filter27e

Yeah sorry, I have an L sedan, was just using the outback for comparative purposes.
But all is good we can call off the research! I emailed global performance and they asked me what my build date was. I'm thinking... "what good will that do me? I have a 98----oh wait." Yeah I wasn't thinking that they usually start making the car half way through the year prior or sooner. So my build date is actually 6/97 and they changed to the thicker bushings the BSF14X uses in 9/97, so I don't have to return my bar. That's what I was worried about because then I have to ship this big box back to MI and they didn't have the 14x so I'd have to wait a while etc....
But now we know!
