    What would you do?

I recently got a new job and one of the perks is I get a company car. I've been trying to get them to get me an '07 Legacy but my boss went to the local suby lot and he didn't like the head room in the Legacy because of the sunroof! So, he said I would have to get an '07 Outback.

They currently have me in an '06 Chevy Trailblazer and I can either keep it for a year or two and then get something new or take a brand new '07 Outback now.

I'm leaning towards taking the Outback but I'm really bummed because I don't much like the styling on them and I LOVE the regular Legacy. Real bummer.

    What would you do?

I wish my boss would buy me an '07 Outback. Unfortunately, the just don't have the cargo capacity needed for my job. The '04 Chevy Astro I'm driving now barely has enough. (I doubt I can even see out the rearview mirror at the moment with all the stuff that's in the back, fortunately, I can drive off just my side mirrors.)

I'd really like to see how an Outback holds up to the driving I do. The Astro (build date was 2/04, we got it around April/May) currently has over 181,000 miles. It's held up suprisingly well. I think the only non-routine work we've had to do was a fuel pump around 15-20 thousound ago, wheel bearings and idler arms somewhere after 100,000.... I have, however, lost track of how many flat-reparis we've had to do, including a "nail-guard" tire getting a non-fixable leak in it from a nail through the middle of the tread.

Fuck.. its free right.! Outback it up! Maybe later you can complain about something on the outback and get the legacy! Or maybe just tell him your a legacy enthusiast.. and your legacy forum compiled reasons WHY to get the legacy rather than the outback! And what does he mean about the headroom? tell him to put the fucking seat down! Or is he just like 7 feet tall? Either way, maybe there is some way you can convince him the legacy is better? Insurance cheaper or higher on either one? Costs of repairs.. etc. Money talks.

Are you going to be driving the car mostly? If so.. tell him you feel more ssfe in the legacy.. haha, bull shit with him.

Looks like a Trailblazer equivalent, but is much nicer.

Because I'm an Outside Sales Account Representative and will be entertaining clients. He doesn't like the rear head room because he's barely over 6' and his head touches the roof liner in the back. HE wants me to get something other the a Subaru but I'm fighting to stay true.

I got him to think about the Legacy sedan instead of the wagon. We go Tuesday to pick for sure. If he likes the sedan (which I really hope he does) then I'll get an '07 Legacy SE sedan, if not, then I'll go with the '07 Outback 2.5i wagon.

    Wish me luck!
