    New member intro

Hello, my name is Dan and I have a '97 Legacy GT (hi, Dan). It's my second Legacy (previously owned a '91) and has been a wonderful car. I bought it used in late 1999 and has 66K miles on it. My son is trying to get me to by an '05 GT so he can have mine. I'm weakening rapidly, help!

Yes, I think we all have a weak spot for the 05 GT! Welcome to the site!
We wouldn't mind a few pictures of this '97 GT and 66k is very low miles...your son will have a great car I'd say if it isn't financially bad, go for it!

Don't be a stranger, mix it up with us, it's a lot of fun!

oh, another piece of advice...since that 97 GT is a 2.5L engine, you're going to want to replace the headgaskets around 80-90,000 miles because they tend to go bad around then.

Welcome to SLi Dan! Tough choice on the 05 man. I've been thinking about getting one myself and try to sell my 97. The 05 is a very nice car and either way you will win, good luck!
