the first one as u can see is pretty full, so u would have to see if u could get a "floor" spot in one of the cabins, probably wana avoid 1-2 since those are going to be the "party cabins". but if u wanted to do that i would gladly loan u my badass cot for u to sleep on. lmk, and if u wanted to crash at my place in duluth the night before or after u are welcome to it.

updates...well, my BOV wasn't working properly, so I couldn't do any tuning. I think it may work now, but it's gotten so cold lately that the un-tuned car wont start. I've been trying to play with the fuel map but I can't get it to start. So the next step is to figure out the furnace in my garage so I can get the car warm...

I drove it! For the first time in 8 months, my legy went out on the Road under it's own power! Lots of tuning to be played with, but it's getting closer!

ej22, or ej22t? Ask anything you have questions about, and I'll see if I can answer them.

Last night the car started when it was just above 0 F out, so that's a very big leap forward.

What do you want pictures of? BTW, if anyone ever wondered what happens when you put RS2.5 Drop springs in a BD, this is it. It's sitting about 4-5 inches lower than stock height...insanely badass, but too low. I'm going back to stock springs after X-max.

Those springs are from a (GD)RS? or (GC)RS?

Congrats on the swap. Your legacy looks real nice and I can only imagine what kind of beast it is and how it handles.

well idk where you got that info, but it's wrong. They are VERY good flowing heads. My friend with an EJ22T with a GT30r running about 22psi thinks that I'll be able to hang right with his car at 14-15 psi, just cause my heads are SO much better than his.

also, they happened to be the heads I had since m car started life with a 2.5 DOHC Phase 1

Looking to throw a EJ22T in my LGT as well. Was the EJ22T/EJ25 hybrid a good setup as far as flowing enough?

the ej22t/25 should flow very well. I'm not really sure yet though, I only made one good pull under boost (which was awesome BTW) before the motor started knocking. It would seem I need rod bearings, and hopefully nothing else was damaged. I'm gonna start the tear down as soon as I can, so we'll see....

Oh man, I know how you feel. Rod Knock is quite possibly one of the worst sounds you can hear....so depressing. I remember when my RSTi did it back with the old Version 4 RA block.

Price wise, if you dont mind me asking, roughly how much did you spend so far with the short block + engine managment, all the other supporting mods etc... Would the price be compairable to swapping to USDM WRX? Reason I ask is I want to know if its worth the effort to build a hybrid when it is easier to just go straight usdm WRX everything (I know the block is not even in the same leauge as the 22t in terms of strength).

Now that I've done it, if I could start over, I'd buy a totalled WRX and do that swap, possibly using my 22t short block. it would have been a lot easier and less time for sure. I honestly can't tell you want I have into this, I stopped paying attention cause it was depressing. I'd guess $5-8k.

For the time and money, I'd do the WRX swap, and then mod that.

No updates. My garage doesn't have heat, so I've barely started to pull it apart.

Well I don't have anything to compare it to, but yes, I like the link. It's all relatively straight forward, and they also have a forum if you can't figure things out.

I spent the extra $90 to upgrade to a 5bar MAP sensor, so I Payed just under $1100 total. Yes, I would recommend it. You live in the cities, so you'd also have the benefit of being close to Piddy, and he knows tons about them. he's the reason I got one...

Re: EJ22T into a BD: What all is needed?

    So..updates....yeah...

Ok, basically this car pissed me off so much that I didn't even touch it again until August. I pulled the 22t, and put the 2.5 NA short block back in with intentions of running 8-9 psi and just driving it till it blew up or I could afford to build the 22t.

well, because the subaru gods hate me, I did all the work and spent the $$$ to put the stock shortblock in and I put it all back together and started it...and I have bad taping/knocking noises coming from my passenger side intake cam. AWESOME! And what's even better is one day when I was out trying to diagnose the issue, the car completely died. As in, it started and ran great (besides head noise) dependably, and then I shut it off and it never started again...just cranks cant cranks and never fires. At this point I say fuck this car, get busy with other projects, and haven't touched it cause I'm trying to get my 93' T-leg on the road for winter.

But, then I happened upon an awesome deal from a friend. I picked up his 22t with STi Rods and Wiescos, fully machined and ready to assemble, Plus I got his 93' T-leg rolling shell too. So, once the t-leg is up and running, the BD goes under the knife AGAIN, this time getting the built 22t, and I'll go back through the heads and make sure they are all fine....

And just cause I'm a dick and like to show off, here's my stack of ej22t's in my kitchen haha
