Can I put an AWD 4EAT into a FWD 4EAT car?

I don't want to make the vehicle AWD I just want to use it as a 2WD tranny. I have an AWD 4EAT sitting on my garage floor that works great and I was wondering if anyone knows if I can swap it in. Are the plugs somewhat the same? Would I even need to use the fuse?

Any toughts would be greatly appreciated.

from what I have heard, using the fuse grenades the tranny over time, especially if you are doing any spirited driving...

Although I could be wrong, so if anyone knows for sure, please correct me.

I think I am going to buy a wrecked 92 legacy with the FWD 4EAT in Boston and take the tranny from that. I would still like to know if it would work though.
