I need to get my tein coils installed so I can sell you my struts, and possibly the hks springs if you can talk robin out of them. Also have suspension on the wrx parts car that's supposed to be sti, but not 100% sure, going by what I was told by the previous owner.

Need to plan a weekend where we can swap struts, coilovers, and springs out. I'll also make you a good deal on some JDM stuff if you're interested.

In case anyone was wondering, Brad is the freaking man! He is helping this car see out it's 2nd or 3rd life. Most weekends towards the end of May & June will work for me to swap suspension stuff.

Small update: Got a nice deal on some slim JDM door trim that will be painted to match in July/August:

The L7 rear bumper guard unfortunately got a bit crunched up in a rear ender a couple years ago. It won't be transferred onto the new bumper cover I have waiting to go on. Legacy is in the midst of a complete transformation. My long time friend & mechanic just completed a huge overhaul of the running gear and mechanics of the motor. Needless to say it should be running realsweet now! I ordered license plates for Washington State & got a personal tag I think you guys will enjoy. I also picked up a GT/Scooped hood while I was down in Portland. It's nowhere near perfect (actually quite misrepresented in the ad) but after a session with a PDR guy & some body filler on a corner and paint it should look right.

Paint work (lots of it) begins in July.

List of maintenance items that were addressed:
Valve cover gaskets - both the drivers and passengers side with new (oil) fill tube O-Ring
    Rear Crankshaft (main) Seal
Rear Left O-Ring on the block
    Rear left cam plug
    rear right cam O-Ring
Replaced bafel plate with updated (metal) design with new bolts
Replaced on front differential the side axle seals with O-Rings
Rebuilt & resealed power steering pump with new bearing & flushed fluid
    Replaced pcv valve
    New exhaust manifold gaskets

    Back on the road!

Thanks! I should clarify, it wasn't off the road in the sense it was broken down, it was just in need of getting this maintenance completed. It had been leaking oil onto the exhaust manifolds which I did not like one bit. Glad to see you still have your old BK as well.
The culture of this forum has changed immensely in the three or four years I was absent. There is so much chatter going on over the FB wall & not a lot of action here. I have to say I wish it was the other way around as I find the FB wall littered with tons of misinformation & questions that have been answered many times over.

I concur. The fact that there are a bunch of guys over on the FB page that don't even have forum logins worries me a lot. They ask a ton of the same inane questions that would be easily solved with 30mins of reading on the forum.

I keep posting links to our site on the FB page... and I will not sell decals through FB.

    Re: Peugoby's 1995 Subaru Legacy wagon - Updated 5/30/14

    Some more updates:

I picked up a really nice white scooped GT/Outback hood that's in great condition. I'll have this painted at the same time I'm having all of my parts painted in the middle of July. I was happy to find this hood as they rarely come around in this nice of shape. I settled a few weeks back on a decent green GT hood that isn't nearly as nice. It would have required a lot more prep work than this white one. Here is a pic of it narrowly squeezing into the back of my older Sister's 2011 Outback Sport:

I stopped by Brads (Red85Celica) house today. He sold me his old suspension setup that is comprised of HKS BG/BK specific springs & KYB GR-2/Excel's with pretty low mileage. Best part, they're still assembled & will make for a much faster installation! This setup rides really well. Shout out and thanks to Brad, a great seller & friend. A note: if anyone wants my GTB Bilstein setup it will be available next month.

Lastly the car has been down in Portland getting a ton of work done on it. I'll tease a shot of the interior makeover. I'm a big fan of the wood grain. It will match the woodgrain MOMO wheel I bought really nicely.

Stay tuned for more updates coming soon!

Usually H&R Springs pair nicely with Bilsteins. I'm not sure what the going rate on used GTB Bilsteins is anymore. I see a set on eBay for $599 which is just insane. I'm thinking around $200 fully assembled with springs & top hats for all 4 corners.

Thanks for your reply. I'm debating in trading my car in for a new legacy or replace my strut setup. Everything is in working order on your setup? Keep me updated on the sale. I enjoy your last legacy bd build. Can't wait to see how this wagon turns out.

    Re: Peugoby's 1995 Subaru Legacy wagon - Updated 5/30/14

Hey everyone, thanks for all the kind words on the wagon. Not a huge update - progress has been slower than I'd like to admit.

I did leave the Facebook SL-i group. I couldn't take all the immaturity, uneducated and incorrect posts & low balling of my sale threads. I find the actual site to be filled with a higher level of class & direction. No offense to any of you who utilize both.

My WA State license plates finally showed up in the mail! The dictionary meaning of Heritage: "something that comes or belongs to one by reason of birth; an inherited lot or portion." Also picked up an OEM front license plate bracket & OE Subaru license plate frames

Got my JDM MOMO Woodgrain wheel in with the cruise control stalk cut in. Also picked up a underseat OEM subwoofer from Red85Celica

Got an awesome deal off of legacygt.com on a set of brand new Sumitomo HRT ZIII's - 215/45/17's. Not the worlds most incredible tire but I got them for an unbeatable price.

They will house a beautiful set of 17" JDM Legacy B4 5 spokes. The end result will look like this. Photo & car credit to Huffer (1st pic)

And just one more that I am inspired by. I've always loved cashmere yellow on 2nd Gen Legacy's.

That's hilarious! 3 different Legacy's out there with that theme going. I picked up an immaculate white GT hood that I'm going to have painted next month along with a bunch of other parts.

I removed myself from the Facebook group a while back, and I couldn't be happier. The rampant stupidity over there made me physically agitated.. it is a shame that it bears the name "SLi".. it likely scares off people who might be looking for a mature Subaru site who would have otherwise found this site.

It's hard to regulate posts on an open FB forum like that. There were major parts of it that I enjoyed (mainly the pictures) but I feel like there is absolutely no idea sharing going on & it is crippled by repetitive questions & negative attitudes. I'd also see a lot of the same people ask questions that have been answered in length on the SL-i board. The trolling of my sale threads was honestly downright irritating to me. If there was a better way to tie in the website to that forum then they could validate each other.

Anytime, Roger! You're a great asset to the Legacy community - a legend on these boards.

I spent some time with the car down in Portland this weekend. For anyone interested, the green scooped hood is for sale ($75/offer), GT wheels & tires ($300/offer) & Bilstein's becoming available soon ($200/offer)
I removed the three center roof railing's as the paint was heavily chipped & didn't look so great. Once I removed the railings I washed, clay bar'd, 2 layers of paint cleaner & waxed the roof. I picked up SPT license plate frames from the local dealership & put on the new, custom plates.

Applying 3M paint & adhesive remover:

After several coatings of plastidip with the help of my best friend:

The roof after a big cleaning session:

    Installed:

Some Interior shots of the new MOMO wheel & dash trim:

Some exterior shots: Major update to follow next month
    JDM center garnish installed

    Stay tuned for more.

    Thanks!

I sold my gorgeous E30 BMW so I'm down to just one car. Small update before a massive update in a couple of weeks: I haven't had the car in my posession in months. It's been getting major maintenance done down in Portland from a longtime friend/

    - The transmission oil pan had to be resealed.
    - My mechanic installed the RalliTEK Automatic shift bushing. I haven't driven the car yet so I can't make much of an impression as to how its changed the feel of the car.

    - Got brackets for the fog lights from the local dealership. Installed:

    - Still need to get a wiring harness for these and wire them up. Next up is body work (GT lip kit installed, JDM door trim, RFRB rear spoiler) suspension and 17" B4 wheels. It should be a fun next couple of weeks!

    Re: Peugoby's '95 Legacy wagon - Update: Wheels/Susp/Tint 7/

Hey Team SL-i - Time for a huge update!
Last weekend I traveled down to Portland to pick up the car from my long time friend & mechanic who had been working on a lot of projects for me on the car. He executed the following:
    - Installed JDM tail lights
    - Installed OEM glass projector front fog lights
    - Installed a rear bumper cover & bumper beam
    - Installed a clean front drivers door
    - Installed lots of misc. interior panels
    - Installed and rewired the stereo system to include an OEM under seat subwoofer
    - Installed a RalliTEK Automatic tranny shifter bushing
    - Refurbished the remote keyless entry system (wasn't functioning)
    - Adjusted the parking brake
    - Replaced the transmission oil pan and filter
    - Replaced side seals on the front diff.
    - Flushed AT transmission fluid
    - PCV Valve

This was on top of him replacing tons of seals that are mentioned a few posts above. Needless to say the car is running & performing better than it has in a very, very long time.

I stayed with my friend Brandon down in Portland who is also a big Legacy fan. He is a giant turd & never posts pics of his epic, epic 1st gen SS. The car is EJ257 swapped, STi 6 speed, V.6 STi seats, black FMIC, JDM Rays STi (Forester) 5 spokes, 4 pots etc etc etc. He keeps it really dirty because as I mentioned earlier he is a giant turd. It's fast. Very fast. And very loud in a good way.

I'm debating picking up these JDM 4 pots from him. Lots and lots of patina on these bad boys as seen in the pic but they clean up really nicely

Then I picked up the car & finally got the windows tinted. I got 45% on the front & 35% on the rest of the car. I really like how it came out. Not a fan of really dark tint at all.

Then I picked these up from Brandon. They're JDM B4 17" 5 spokes

Then I sold that green GT hood to a kid from FB, got home to Seattle & put on the mint white GT hood I had in storage.

OH, then Red85Celica installed the suspension he had sold me months ago. HKS GT-B Springs, KYB Excel's. It rides so, so nice! He also put on a new steering rack boot. I got the car aligned and also had the new wheels & tires mounted up. I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking!

Holy mother of dents. I can't wait to have the body work done. It's in the works, I promise.

Got my new floor mats from the dealership

Epic Headrests my wonderful girlfriend brought me back from China!

I use a CLUB lock on the steering wheel being in Seattle. I've read enough horror stories of cars being stolen in the area.

I'll update again at the end of August when all the paint & body work is done as well as all my parts are painted. Thanks for all the support to the community for the past 8 years. This board is a great resource.
