Upgraded to STI, don't have use for Legacy parts anymore!
Grave dig, but if you're looking for a subtle head unit I'm really happy with this. Kienzle 1016BT
I'm a Pioneer fan.
99 Legacy GT WRX - Now for sale!
05 Legacy GT Limited 5MT Wagon - Stock-ish.
02 Outback Limited 5MT - Lifted, Dual Range
84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/6-speed
85 Silverado - Low and slow tow rig
Now I get to fabricate a single din slot on the top of my dash for my oem compass pack.
First: Wow, 7 year old thread resurrection... impressive by any forum's standard.
Second: Here's a Pioneer FH-X720BT in my '04 LGT. It came from the factory with the big middle multifunction button all shiny and silver. I hit that sucker with PlastiDip, and it took on a much more "stock looking" appearance... especially when its off. I dig it, and it was stupid easy to install.
did this take any modification or did it just fight right in ? I just ordered a double din for my 2nd gen wagon and hoped it would just fit
Here is my setup in my BH:
I am using Kenwood KDC-BT60U, below there is a volt meter.
That works really well
When I bought my '99 it came with this Panasonic head unit. Here is a photo of it just before I salvaged it from the wreck:
Here it is in my 01:
I can't wait to hook it up to my two amps (one amp is a four channel, and the other is a mono). It has three pairs of RCA outputs with a 4 Volt out put. I would really like to install a double-DIN unit, but the budget does not allow for that right now.
2001 Outback - Current daily driver
1999 Outback - R.I.P.
1999 BK
Pioneer AVH-X2800BS
I got Best Buy to price match it down to $207 and I bought a wiring harness for $16.
